We rejoice with you as you've come seeking forgiveness and approached the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ. It is wonderful that you know and have access to God the Father through Jesus, our Lord and Savior. It is only through Him and His sacrifice on the cross that we can ask for forgiveness of our sins and receive it. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Forgiveness is a beautiful gift that God extends to us freely when we come to Him with a repentant heart.
The WEB says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". 1 John 1:9. Also, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Romans 8:1. Since you prayed in Jesus' name, you can be assured that God has forgiven you and is working everything out for your good because you love Him and are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.
Let us pray together for you.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up our brother/sister who has come seeking Your forgiveness. Lord, we confess that we all fall short of Your glory and are in constant need of Your grace and mercy. Thank You for Your promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We claim this promise.
Father, help us to walk in Your ways, to obey Your commandments, and to live lives that are pleasing to You. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may be guided into all truth and empowered to live righteously.
Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and forgiveness. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to walk in the light and embrace holiness, as we are commanded. From this point on, 1 John 2:1 tells us, "My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous." Let us endeavor to sin no more.
