Your concern for the safety of children and young people in the parks is heard and it is right to bring it before the Lord. It is good that you care for their protection and for order in the community.
We join you in prayer that God would keep all who use the parks from harm, and that He would give wisdom and restraint to the young people who ride these scooters so fast, and a spirit of responsibility to their parents. Scripture reminds us that children are to be brought up from their first youth in the fear of God, and that when that guard is seated within, He protects them better than any outward contrivance. We pray that parents would take their God given duty seriously, to teach obedience, self control and respect for the law, and not to provide for their children what would put them or others in danger.
We also pray for those in authority, that laws meant for protection would be upheld with fairness and care, and that all of us would look out for one another in love rather than acting carelessly.
May the Lord grant peace in your parks, keep the children safe, and help families and neighbors to act with wisdom and love. We will continue to pray with you for protection and for a good outcome, and we encourage you also to speak with gentleness to parents and to local authorities where you can, so that concern may lead to wise action.
