Dying Stepdad

My stepdad has ALS. he's been sick for a long time. It is almost over. Hospice is keeping him comfortable with morphine. It is day 6 with no food or water Please pray for an easy passing, and that he will find comfort.

Our Heavenly Father, be with this man and his family. This is such a hard time, one part of us just wants their suffering to end while the other part doesn't want to lose them. Just as one of my uncles died today, I thought at first what a shame it was right before easter, then I thought of it again and just had to thank You for giving us the resurrection hope. I pray for this man to cross easily to the other side of the river Jordan and for his family to take strength that he is there waiting for them. Lord, if any here need to make that eternal decision, I pray that they would think of this man and this easter weekend and accept Jesus' offer of salvation. Bless this family and may they feel the presence of the Holy Spirit surrounding them. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord You know the time and day Your child will join You. Your blessed child is asking for an easy passing and that his life will be comfortable until You take him home to be with You. bless the child that is holding up her step father to You in Jesus name and the family members he will soon leave behind to be with You. may Your spirit flow thru the family, guide them and comfort them in their time of need. i ask in Your precious name, AMEN!

Father God, I have been exactly where this family stands now. I know the peace that You so lovingly provide for not only the dying, but those left behind. May You gently welcome this man in Your time, and allow him a peaceful, painfree passing. Thank You for the life he has led. May his loved ones receive the fullest measure of Your comfort and mercy as they mourn. Thank You that this is not the end, but just a time of transition. In the holy and precious name of Jesus, amen.
