Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of our anonymous friend who is burdened by a major bad choice made twenty years ago. We acknowledge that we have all sinned and fallen short of your glory, but we thank you for your unfailing love and mercy that is available to us through Jesus Christ.
Lord, we lift up our friend's spirit to you, knowing that you are the God who restores and heals. We ask that you would restore their spirit from the damage caused by the sin of the past. Your Word assures us that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray for a deep cleansing and renewal of their heart and mind.
Lord Jesus, we ask that you would remove the heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh. Soften their heart, Lord, and help them to turn back to you with genuine repentance and a desire to walk in obedience to your will.
We pray for a fresh encounter with your presence, Holy Spirit. Fill our friend with your love, joy, and peace. Guide them back into a close and intimate relationship with you. Help them to experience the fullness of your forgiveness and grace.
Father, we also pray for strength and perseverance for our friend as they navigate the journey of restoration. Surround them with a supportive community of believers who can encourage and uplift them in their faith.
We thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and your promise to hear our prayers when we ask according to your will. We trust that you are at work in our friend's life, bringing about healing and transformation.
