Dreamsy wishes, deep desires of my heart

Natasha 2

Servant of All
Please pray that all my dreams and wishes will come true. Deep desires of my heart. Lord your word says WHATEVER YOU ASK FOR, PRAY AS IF YOU ALREADY HAVE IT...WHATEVER YOU ASK FOR!!!

We hear your heart’s longing and the deep desires you carry within you. It is natural to yearn for good things, God Himself placed desires in our hearts, and He delights in giving good gifts to His children. However, we must approach these dreams and wishes with discernment, ensuring they align with His will and purpose for our lives. The scripture you referenced, often paraphrased from Mark 11:24, says, "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them." But we must remember that this promise is rooted in seeking God’s will above our own. James 4:3 warns us, "You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures."

First, we must examine the desires of your heart. Are they in line with God’s Word and His character? Do they honor Him and reflect His plans for your life? Proverbs 19:21 reminds us, "There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail." Our dreams should not be centered on selfish ambition or worldly gain but on glorifying God and advancing His kingdom. If your desires include a future marriage, we pray that it would be with a godly spouse who shares your faith and commitment to Christ. If your dreams involve career, ministry, or personal growth, we ask that they would be used for His glory.

We also want to gently address the importance of surrender. While it is good to ask God for the desires of your heart, we must hold them loosely, trusting that His plans are higher than ours. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." But this hope is found in Him, not in the fulfillment of our own wishes. Are you willing to trust God even if His answer is different from what you imagine?

Let us also remind you that true fulfillment comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so. John 14:6 declares, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Salvation is found in no other name, and it is only through Christ that we can approach God with confidence in prayer. If you have already placed your faith in Him, we rejoice with you and encourage you to deepen that relationship daily.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up the deep desires of this dear one’s heart. Lord, You know the longings they carry, and we ask that You would align them with Your perfect will. Help them to seek You above all else, trusting that Your plans are good and Your timing is perfect. Father, if these dreams are in line with Your purpose, we ask that You would bring them to pass in ways that glorify Your name. If they are not, we pray that You would replace them with desires that reflect Your heart.

Lord, we ask that You would guard their heart from selfish ambition or worldly pursuits. Teach them to delight in You, knowing that as Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." May their joy be found in You alone, and may their dreams be rooted in Your truth.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment. Show them, Lord, if there are areas where their desires need to be surrendered or refined. Help them to trust You completely, even when the path is unclear. And if they have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, revealing the love and salvation that can only be found in Him.

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness to answer according to Your will. May this dear one experience Your peace and Your presence as they wait on You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God through His Word and in prayer. Spend time in the Psalms, where you will find comfort, wisdom, and a reminder of God’s faithfulness. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. And remember, God’s delays are not His denials, He is working all things together for your good, even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will guide your steps.

We hear so much longing and hope in what you've written, and it's clear these desires are deeply personal to you. It's natural to pour our hearts out and want to see every dream fulfilled. At the same time, we've found that our most life-giving prayers grow when we hold our wishes before a Father who loves us and sometimes reshapes what we're asking for into something even truer. Not because He's holding out, but because He sees the full picture of what will bring us lasting good and draw us closer to Himself.

One thing that helps us when our own lists feel urgent is to sit quietly and bring each desire to Jesus, but with open hands. We might say, "Lord, this is what I want, but more than that, I want what You want for me." That simple practice has a way of turning a wish list into a conversation, and over time we find ourselves wanting what He wants, which is a deeper peace than getting every "yes." As you pray, try bringing your dreams to Him one at a time, and ask Him to shape your heart to desire His will above all.

Jesus, thank You for this precious person and for every dream they've entrusted to You. Meet them in the waiting and in the wanting. Give them a steady confidence that You see them, You hear them, and You are working for their good even when the path looks different than they imagined. Quiet any anxiety, and fill them with the peace of knowing they are held in Your love. In Your name we pray, amen.

You lay hold of a great promise, yet mark well its context. The "whatever" of Scripture is not a blank cheque for every dreaming fancy, but the fruit of abiding in Christ and His words abiding in you. A heart purified by faith will learn to desire what God delights to give. Without that purification, your deepest wishes may be but gilded snares. Faith is the agent of heart purification, faith born of hearing and resting alone on Jesus. Only the living faith that works upon the heart and influences the desires and affections can be the faith of God’s elect.

Get the promise first, then offer the prayer. Many rush with their own desires and call them promises, yet find only disappointment, for God will not sign His name to our fancies. True prayer is not simply crying "whatever," but pleading what God has pledged. Go to the Word, find a clear promise, and then spread your case before the Most High with all the arguments He Himself supplies. This is the model of Jacob, argumentative, humble, clinging. And even then, the answer may come after God's own fashion, not man’s expectation. Jacob limped at sunrise, yet he prevailed.

Do not mistake cheerfulness for levity, nor earnest desire for faith. Little faith craves signs, remarkable dreams, singular providences; but great faith trusts the bare word of God and waits patiently. You must add to your petition the humble prayer, "Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts." The prayer that brings immediate peace is often the one that first confesses, "My heart is not right; make it right." God puts prayer into the heart by instruction and by breaking us from all other confidences. Where there is that true faith, there is fervent prayer, nowhere else.

The Lord hears even the wordless groaning, the faint soul whose tongue fails for thirst. Yet while He hears, He often delays that faith may grow more resolved, more vehement. Overcome as He did, through faith. This is the victory. Do not give up dependence anywhere but upon God. Continue much in prayer, even when no immediate answer comes. The blessing may already be on the way, perceived by the sacred instincts of faith long before sight confirms it.

Dreams and wishes are not the foundation; the promise and the Promiser are. Let the desires of your heart be first anchored in Him who is the Desire of nations. Seek first His kingdom, and the rest, in His wisdom, He will add. The prayer heard is the prayer that has touched the heart of Christ, and such a prayer will always include this: "Not my will, but Yours be done."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When I hear such a request, I tremble for the soul that utters it. For you have taken the words of our Lord and twisted them to serve your own desires, as if the Almighty were a merchant from whom you demand your wishes.

Tell me, do you not know that the things of this present life are no better than dreams? Those who slumber see visions of wealth and honor and pleasure, but when they wake they find nothing in their hands. So it is with all earthly prosperity and every wish that springs from the fever of worldly longing. The day of judgment will come, and these things will dissolve into nothing. Why do you cling to shadows when the Sun of Righteousness is shining?

The promises of God are not promises to gratify every longing of the heart, but to give you what your heart truly needs: salvation, the resurrection, the Kingdom of Heaven. These are the promises that the patriarchs saw from afar and embraced by faith, though they did not receive them in this life. They died in faith, not having obtained the things you now ask for. They desired a better country, a heavenly one. And you ask me to pray that your little dreams of this passing age may all come true? I will not mock God by offering such a prayer.

You quote the Scripture as saying, "Whatever you ask for, pray as if you already have it." But you neglect the rest. Does our Lord not teach us to pray, "Your will be done"? And the Apostle says that we must ask in faith, without doubting. But what kind of faith is it that demands its own way and will not submit to the wisdom of God? Faith is not a key to unlock the storehouses of your lusts; it is the hand that receives what God gives, even when it is affliction, even when it is poverty, even when it is not what the dreaming soul desired. A soul in a sound state receives the faith and does not question. But when the soul is fevered with reasonings and selfish longings, then it questions and makes demands, and from such questionings come railings and evil surmisings about God.

Do you not see how dangerous it is to treat prayer this way? As if God owed you an answer according to your wishes. The Lord is faithful, and He will establish you and guard you from the evil one, but not while you sleep and make no effort to walk in His commandments. The promises are for those who cooperate with grace, who do and will do what He commands, not for those who simply name their desires and call it prayer. I have prayed for many that their faith fail not, but I pray that your faith be purified from this error.

Let me ask you plainly: if your dreams and wishes are for a husband who leaves his wife, or for gain that comes from wickedness, or for the praise of men, should I ask God to grant them? That would be to ask for unfair gain, and the fruit of such prayers would be lost. The things for which we ask must be offered with clean hands and a humble heart, not as a list of demands but as a sacrifice acceptable to God.

Awake from this lethargy. Let the desires of your heart be shaped by the Word of God, not by the fleeting images that dance before your eyes. Seek first the Kingdom, and then these other things may be added as God sees fit. But if you make an idol of your own will, you will find only darkness. Do not close your eyes to the light and then complain that you cannot see. Do not bury yourself in earthly cares and then wonder why heaven seems distant. Without faith, nothing can be discerned; but faith does not bend God to us, it bends us to God.

Repent of this grasping. Bring tears, bring penance, bring a heart that says, "Not my will, but Yours be done." Then I will gladly join my prayer to yours, not that your dreams come true, but that you may receive the true promises: the forgiveness of sins, the indwelling of the Spirit, and a place among the saints who have gone before, who died in faith not having received their earthly wishes, but who now rest in the bosom of Abraham, and whose desire is satisfied in the presence of God forever.
