We hear the deep longing in your heart for a godly husband, a man after God’s own heart who will cherish you as a queen, walk in righteousness, and lead your home in love and faith. Your excitement and hope are beautiful, and we rejoice with you in the confidence that the Lord does give His children the desires of their hearts when those desires align with His will (Psalm 37:4). But let us pause together to examine this prayer through the lens of Scripture, ensuring our hearts are fully surrendered to God’s timing, His standards, and His glory.

First, we must address the way you describe your desires, particularly the focus on physical attraction ("my fine ass guy") and the tone of self-exaltation ("queen of uncommon favor," "throw away the guilt cloak"). While confidence in Christ is a gift, Scripture warns us against pride and self-centeredness. Proverbs 16:18 says, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." And Philippians 2:3-4 reminds us, "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." A godly marriage is built on mutual submission, sacrifice, and Christ-centered love, not on elevating ourselves or fixating on superficial traits. Let us ask the Lord to refine our desires so they reflect His priorities, not the world’s.

You mention being "redeemed from not having a husband" by the blood of Jesus, and this is a powerful truth! But redemption in Christ is not just about getting what we want, it’s about being transformed into His likeness (2 Corinthians 5:17). Are you seeking a husband because you believe marriage will complete you, or because you desire to glorify God in a covenant relationship? The latter is the only foundation that will last. We must also guard our hearts against idolatry, placing our longing for a spouse above our love for the Lord. Jesus said, "Seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). Is He truly first in your heart, or is your desire for a husband competing with that place?

Now, let us rebuke the enemy’s lies that may be woven into your words. You speak of "throwing away the beggar cloak," but Scripture tells us that in our weakness, Christ’s power is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). There is no shame in waiting on the Lord or in bringing our needs to Him with humility. In fact, Psalm 25:3 says, "No one who hopes in You will ever be put to shame." The enemy would love for you to believe that you are "less than" because you are unmarried, but your worth is found in Christ alone, not in your relationship status. We also must address the flippant attitude toward sin ("no worries") when you mention being "very attracted" to someone. Physical attraction is a gift from God within the bounds of marriage, but lust and objectification are not. Jesus warned, "Everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28). If your desires are leading you toward temptation, we must take that seriously and ask the Lord for purity in thought and deed.

Let us also clarify that marriage is not a guarantee in this life. Paul, a godly man, wrote in 1 Corinthians 7:7-8, "I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that. Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am." While marriage is a beautiful calling, singleness is not a curse, it is an opportunity to serve the Lord without distraction (1 Corinthians 7:32-35). Are you open to the possibility that God may be calling you to a season (or a lifetime) of singleness for His glory? Or are you so fixed on marriage that you might miss His plan for you?

Finally, we must address the absence of Jesus’ name in your original prayer. While you mention the "Lord God Almighty," it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and no prayer is heard apart from Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, acknowledging your sin, repenting, and trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your salvation, then today is the day to do so. Romans 10:9 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Without this foundation, even our deepest desires will remain unfulfilled in the ways that truly matter.

Let us pray together now:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Lord, we lift up this sister to You, thanking You for the passion and faith we see in her heart. We ask that You would purify her desires, aligning them with Your perfect will. Remove any pride, selfishness, or idolatry that may be creeping into her longing for a husband. Help her to seek You first above all else, trusting that You know what is best for her life.

Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell her she is incomplete without a spouse. Remind her daily that her worth is found in Christ alone, and that she is already a daughter of the King, a queen in Your Kingdom. Guard her heart from temptation, whether in thought or deed, and fill her with a holy longing for purity and righteousness.

Lord, if it is Your will for her to marry, we ask that You would bring a godly man into her life, one who loves You above all else, who will cherish and lead her with wisdom and grace. But if Your plan is for her to remain single, give her the strength and joy to serve You wholeheartedly in that calling. Either way, may her life bring You glory.

We also ask for forgiveness for any areas where we have made marriage or relationships an idol in our own lives. Help us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Thank You for hearing our prayer, and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen."

Sister, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, allowing Him to shape your desires. Study Proverbs 31 to understand what a godly wife looks like, and 1 Timothy 3 to see what a godly husband should be. Pray for your future spouse now, not just for his arrival, but for his walk with the Lord. And remember: the greatest dream you could ever have is not a husband, but a deeper relationship with Jesus. Everything else flows from that. "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). Delight in Him first, and trust Him with the rest.

It is a beautiful thing when you know deep down that God desires to give you good gifts, and a husband who walks with Him is indeed a good gift. We are glad you are not settling for guilt or a “beggar’s cloak,” but are standing in the dignity Christ has already won for you. That confidence, when it rests in His love and not just in what we see, can carry us through the waiting without despair.

While you wait for that “king,” we would simply encourage you to keep letting the Lord shape you into the queen He already calls you. The healthiest marriages we see are between two people who first learned to be whole in Christ, not needing a partner to feel valuable, but truly ready to love and serve. Maybe this season is less about throwing a cloak over your shoulders and more about letting God weave uncommon favor into your everyday character, your friendships, your care for those cats He’s entrusted to you. Attraction matters, and it is not wrong to want it, but lasting marriages are also built on shared faith, kindness, and a mutual commitment to put Christ first. Let trusted, mature believers speak into your life; sometimes they help us see what we cannot see ourselves.

We are praying with you that God will bring the right man in His time, and that until then you will feel deeply held and seen. Father, thank You that You give good gifts and that You see the desires of this woman’s heart. Give her patience and clear eyes. Calm any anxiety and help her rest in Your love as she waits. Prepare both her and the man You have for her, and may their future union honor You and bless others. In Jesus’ name.

How your heart pours out its longings for a husband, for a life of queenly favor with no more worry! Yet hear this: The blessed man is not the one who gets all his earthly dreams fulfilled, but the one to whom the Lord imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. When the Son removes guilt, the Spirit removes guile. You speak of throwing away a cloak of guilt, but true blessedness begins when you stop disguising your sin and make honest confession before God. Do not put a strain upon your conscience by hushing its protests. The very desire that cries “I deserve a light” may itself need to be brought low, so that self-abhorrence endears Christ to you as the great Savior of unworthy ones.

Your dream of a man to be your king and you his queen, do you not know that God Himself is a Husband to His people? He set His special love upon us, found us in a desert land, and communed with us lovingly. Have we not been negligent in recognizing this relation? Married, and not know it? God, your Husband, and you never think of Him? Before you set your affection on a “fine ass guy” after the flesh, see whether you have given your heart’s best affections to the Lord. How soon can these earthly partners be torn away! What if you woke one morning with your soul troubled because God seemed dead to you? That is the worst of all losses. Make sure your ease is in Him who ever lives to comfort His people, for the Eternal God is your refuge.

You say you are redeemed from not having a husband by the blood of Jesus. But redemption is first from sin’s guilt and power. If the supreme Ruler did not punish sin, He would become the patron of guilt. The atonement sets forth that guilt most thoroughly, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin. Let that truth reach your heart. If you are in Christ, your guilt cloak is indeed thrown away, not by your own declaration, but by faith in His finished work. Yet mark this: when He turns in a way of grace, He comes flying on the wings of the wind to display His favor. He is quick in mercy; the God of mercy goes before you. All things are ready, come to the Gospel supper!

Therefore, put on no self-made cloak of uncommon favor while you remain unmindful of your heavenly Husband. If He gives you an earthly spouse, it will be in His time and as part of His holy provision, for a husband should love his wife as Christ loved the church. But if you have sinned against early training or let your imagination paint a king who feeds your vanity, your guilt has an extraordinary blackness about it. Throw away that beggar’s cloak of craving by casting yourself wholly upon Jesus. Come be happy in His favor, longer from Him do not roam. Come, and welcome, sinner, come! Then, with your heart fixed on Him, you will be able to say truly, “The Lord only gives the best,” whether He grants marriage or calls you to know Him as your all-sufficient portion forevermore.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You cry out for a man to be your king, and you imagine yourself a queen adorned with favor. Yet I must ask: what is this favor you claim? The favor of God rests on those who pursue holiness, not on those who cover themselves with vain words while living in sin. Our Lord Jesus, when He met the Samaritan woman, said, "Go, call your husband." He knew she had had five husbands, and the man she then lived with was not her husband.

He did not affirm her desires; He exposed her shame to bring her to repentance. So I ask you: are you living with a man outside of marriage? Or do you set your heart on a man with lustful passion, as you say, a "fine ass guy"? This is not the desire of a redeemed soul, but the fire of fornication.

The marriage bed is honorable only when it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman; all else defiles the body and dishonors Christ. You say you are redeemed from not having a husband by the blood of Jesus, but the blood of Jesus redeems from sin, not from the state of singleness. If you are not married, you are called to chastity. If you have a husband, you must not depart from him.

If your husband dies, you are free to marry, but only in the Lord. Do not throw away a guilt cloak for a queen cloak of your own making; throw yourself at the feet of the Lord, confessing every sinful thought and deed. He alone clothes you with true honor, which is not found in a man's attraction to your body, but in a meek and quiet spirit. Marriage is a great mystery, representing Christ and the Church; do not trample it by chasing after the lusts of the flesh.

Let your cats have no worry, but let your soul tremble at the judgment of God. Flee from the theatre of your fantasies, for they breed adultery and overthrow homes. Instead, follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. This means if you are married, remain faithful to your husband; if unmarried, keep yourself pure for the Lord.

Let your desire be for Christ the Bridegroom, whose love is better than any earthly king. He will give you what is best, not according to your wild passions, but according to His will for your sanctification. Repent, and seek first His kingdom.

What you are expressing is the deep longing of a heart created for love and companionship. That desire itself is not wrong; it is present with us, as is the desire to do right, to live for God, and to seek His best. The ache for a husband, for someone to call your king while you stand as his queen, speaks of a God-given capacity for relationship. But we must be careful that the desire for other things does not choke out our fruitfulness for Jesus, or that in our pursuit we do not begin to covet what belongs to another, for the law deals with the strong desires of the spirit as much as with outward acts.

You speak of throwing away a guilt cloak and a beggar cloak to put on a queen cloak of uncommon favor. There is a truth here that needs careful handling. God does indeed clothe His people with honor, but that covering comes only one way. Our first attempts to cover guilt, like sewing together fig leaves by our own efforts, are never sufficient. To be freed from shame, an innocent sacrifice must be made. The coats of skin God provided came through the death of another. Your redemption from every lack, including the lack of a husband, is not found in declaring your own royalty or physical attractiveness, but only in the blood of Jesus Christ, which cleanses us from all sin. He is the one who delivers us from the wrath to come, and from the beggarly elements we often desire to place ourselves back in bondage to.

A profound difficulty arises when strong desires flash into our consciousness. Did this thought come from God, or did it spring from my own imagination? Discerning the supernatural from the natural is one of the hardest tasks of the spiritual life. A thought can arrive with such force that we are certain it must be a divine promise: a specific man, a particular future, a title of honor. But God’s Word gives us counsel that is practical for both the married and the single. To avoid sexual immorality, it is right for a woman to have her own husband. Yet the assumption that a certain man is your ordained king must be weighed against the reality that if a woman is married to another while her husband lives, she is called by a different name. The law of love for Jesus Christ means we are bound to a greater truth than our feelings, and our choices bear eternal weight.

Your identity is never an object to be claimed by chanting it into existence. The spiritual Jerusalem from above is free, and she is the mother of us all. The word given to the barren woman was to rejoice, for the desolate woman has more children than she who has a husband. This is not a formula to manipulate God into providing a spouse, but a call to find your ultimate fulfillment in the fruitfulness God gives directly from His Spirit, apart from any human partner. Many have turned from idols to the true and living God to wait for His Son from heaven. Their hope sustained them. They were not waiting for an earthly king to complete them, but for Jesus, who delivers us.

If there is any subconscious desire for punishment woven into that guilt cloak you want to discard, know that the price for your sin has been fully paid. You do not need to labor under a sense of unworthiness that demands you perform penance. Jesus cried out in your place. The invitation stands freely: Come. Come to Jesus. Come and receive God's love and the cleansing of your sin. Lift up your head. Let your righteousness come only from your faith in Him, for your righteousness in Christ can only avail for you individually. Repent of anything that has substituted for the true God in your heart, and let your soul find its rest in the fact that God alone gives the best, and that best is ultimately found not in a fine man, but in a living relationship with Himself through the Spirit. He makes you a true and faithful witness of His love to others, for Jesus' sake.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer over the desires of your heart. It has been our joy to lift up your dreams—your longing for a godly man who will cherish you as his queen, for the fulfillment of the deepest desires God has placed within you, and for the uncommon favor that only He can provide. We have prayed that the Lord would remove every weight of guilt or unworthiness, that He would clothe you in the dignity and confidence of a daughter of the King, and that He would bring forth the perfect plan He has for your life—one that includes joy, provision, and even blessings for your beloved cats.

If God has already moved in miraculous ways since you shared your request, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Let us celebrate His faithfulness together! If, however, you are still waiting and trusting, please know that we are not finished praying. We will continue to stand in agreement with you, believing that the One who redeemed you with the blood of Jesus will not leave your heart’s cry unanswered. His timing is perfect, and His gifts are always good.

May the Lord continue to draw near to you as you seek Him, filling you with peace, hope, and the assurance that you are deeply loved. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
