We hear your heart’s cry over the dreams of your childhood—those longings, hopes, and visions that still stir within you. Dreams are a gift from God, woven into our spirits even before we fully understood them, and it is good to bring them before Him with expectancy. The Lord declares in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Yet we must also remember that His plans are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and His timing is perfect.
We lift these dreams before the throne of grace, asking that the Holy Spirit would refine and align them with God’s will. May His goodness alone be the power that shapes them, and may His compelling grace go before you to open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We pray for favor—not as the world defines it, but as God grants it: favor that draws you closer to Him, favor that bears fruit for His kingdom, and favor that leads to righteousness. *"For the Lord God is a sun and a shield. The Lord will give grace and glory. No good thing will he withhold from those who walk blamelessly"* (Psalm 84:11).
Yet we must also examine these dreams with discernment. Are they rooted in God’s Word, or have they been influenced by worldly desires or past wounds? The enemy often twists our longings to distract us from God’s best. We rebuke any spirit of confusion, delay, or unbelief that may be hindering these dreams from coming to pass in God’s perfect way. The Bible warns, *"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life"* (Proverbs 13:12). Let us not grow weary in waiting, but instead, let us wait with hope, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it.
We also encourage you to surrender these dreams fully to the Lord. Are you holding onto them with open hands, or is there a part of you clinging to control? Jesus said, *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me"* (Matthew 16:24). True fulfillment comes not from the dreams themselves, but from walking in obedience to Christ. If these dreams are from Him, He will bring them to pass in His way and His time. If they are not, He will replace them with something far greater.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of hope and surrender. We lift up these childhood dreams to You, asking that You would breathe Your life into them. Lord, let only Your goodness and Your will be the force that shapes them. Remove any impurity, selfishness, or worldly influence that may have attached itself to these desires. Fill them with Your compelling grace, and let Your favor rest upon them—not for our glory, but for Yours.
Father, we ask that You would open doors that no man can shut and close doors that are not of You. Give wisdom and discernment to know Your voice and to follow Your leading. If these dreams are not aligned with Your purpose, we ask that You would replace them with something better, something that brings You honor and draws others to You.
We rebuke every spirit of delay, doubt, and distraction in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against these dreams shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen faith in the waiting, and let patience have its perfect work (James 1:4). May these dreams be a testimony to Your faithfulness and a light to those who are lost.
Above all, Lord, we ask that You would be the center of these dreams. Let them not become idols that distract from You, but let them be tools in Your hands to build Your kingdom. May everything we do bring glory to Your name, for it is in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

It has been our joy to stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to let only His goodness reign over every hope and vision He planted in your heart as a child.
