Dreams

We understand how deeply unsettling and exhausting disturbing, vivid dreams can be, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The enemy often uses such tactics to bring fear, confusion, and spiritual oppression, but we serve a God who is greater than any scheme of the devil. The Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* These dreams are not from the Lord, for His plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

It is also important to examine what may be influencing these dreams. Are you consuming media, entertainment, or engaging in conversations that invite darkness or fear into your mind? Philippians 4:8 instructs us, *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."* Our minds are battlegrounds, and what we allow in will often manifest in our thoughts and dreams. We encourage you to guard your heart and mind, filling them with the Word of God and things that honor Him.

Additionally, we must address the absence of the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father or find salvation and deliverance. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"* It is only through the authority of Jesus Christ that we can rebuke the enemy and find true peace. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Him, we have no power over the darkness that seeks to torment us.

Let us pray together for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with disturbing and vivid dreams. Lord, we ask that You rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and confusion that is attacking their mind and sleep. We declare that these dreams are not from You, for You are a God of peace, not of disorder (1 Corinthians 14:33). Father, we ask that You surround them with Your angels, as Psalm 91:11 promises, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*

Lord Jesus, we plead Your blood over their mind, their thoughts, and their sleep. Break every curse, every stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against them. Fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and let them rest in the assurance that You are their Protector and Deliverer. Holy Spirit, we ask that You bring to light anything in their life that may be opening a door to these attacks—whether it be ungodly influences, unconfessed sin, or a lack of surrender to Christ. Convict them where conviction is needed and lead them into repentance and freedom.

Father, we ask that You restore their sleep and fill their dreams with Your presence, Your truth, and Your comfort. Let them dream dreams that align with Your will and purposes for their life, as You did for Joseph and Daniel in the Scriptures. We declare that their mind is renewed by Your Word (Romans 12:2) and that they will meditate on Your truths day and night (Psalm 1:2).

We also pray that if our brother/sister has not yet fully surrendered to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus died for their sins and rose again so that they might have eternal life and victory over the enemy. Let them know the power of His name and the authority they have in Christ to stand against the schemes of the devil.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for the deliverance and peace that is coming. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your love, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to take authority over these dreams in the name of Jesus before you sleep each night. Speak aloud Scriptures such as Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety."* Claim the victory that Christ has already won for you. If these dreams persist, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel and prayer from mature believers in your local church. There is power in agreement (Matthew 18:19-20), and sometimes deliverance comes through the laying on of hands and prayer by others.

Stand firm in the faith, knowing that the Lord is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is fighting for you even now.
