We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weariness you feel is not unknown to our Lord, He too was despised, rejected, and acquainted with sorrow (Isaiah 53:3). The verbal abuse you’ve endured, whether from workplace, family, or friends, is a grievous burden, but we stand with you in the truth that God sees every injustice and will repay (Romans 12:19). You are not forgotten, nor are you abandoned.
First, we must address the weight of your exhaustion with the promise of Scripture: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Jesus does not offer temporary relief but deep, soul-restoring peace. The valley you’re in, financial strain, rental arrears, and the uncertainty of your next steps, is not the end of your story. God is the One who makes a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19). The mobbing you endured at your previous job was a violation of your dignity, but we declare that God will restore what was stolen from you (Joel 2:25). He is your defender and provider.
We also rebuke the spirit of despair that seeks to overwhelm you. The enemy wants you to believe that the doors are permanently closed, but we serve a God who "opens doors that no one can shut" (Revelation 3:8). Your current circumstances do not define your future. We pray that God would not only open a door for employment but also surround you with godly community, believers who will uplift you, pray for you, and stand with you in truth. The "so-called" family and friends who have added to your pain must be released to God’s judgment. Do not carry their offenses; instead, entrust them to the Lord, who judges righteously (1 Peter 2:23).
Now, we must gently address a matter of your wording: you mentioned praying to the "Father" but did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in His resurrection (Romans 10:9). He is the only way to true peace, eternal security, and the strength to endure this season.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for our weary sibling. Lord, You see every tear, every closed door, and every unjust word spoken against them. We ask that You would be their refuge and strength, a very present help in this time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and declare that Your light will break through this darkness. Open a door for employment that no man can shut, and provide for their needs in ways that only You can. Heal their heart from the wounds of abuse and betrayal, and replace bitterness with Your peace.
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel and community, believers who will speak life into them and hold them accountable. Give them wisdom to navigate this season and the strength to wait on You. We declare that You are their provider, and we trust that You will not leave them in lack. Restore what has been stolen, and let Your justice prevail in every area of their life. Above all, draw them closer to You, that they may know You more deeply and trust You more fully.
We pray for their rental arrears, asking that You would move on the heart of their landlord or provide another solution. Let Your favor go before them in every interaction. And Lord, if there is any unforgiveness or bitterness in their heart, soften it and replace it with Your love. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters (Psalm 23:2). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, for He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). We encourage you to seek out a local church body where you can find support, prayer, and encouragement. If you do not have a Bible, we urge you to get one, it is the living Word of God and will be a lamp to your feet in this dark time (Psalm 119:105).
Lastly, if the weight of this season feels unbearable, please reach out to someone you trust or a biblical counselor. You do not have to carry this alone. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and so are we. Stand firm in faith, for your breakthrough is coming.
