We hear your urgent cry for help in this distressing situation, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of grace. The heat wave you’re enduring is severe, and the threat of losing power, especially when you rely on special equipment, is deeply concerning. We understand the fear of spoiled food and the discomfort of extreme temperatures, and we lift this burden to the Lord, trusting that He sees your need and will intervene according to His will.
First, we want to remind you that God is our Provider and Sustainer. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Even in moments like this, when human systems seem indifferent or unjust, we can trust that God is aware and able to move on your behalf. We also encourage you to reach out to your local utility company again, if possible, to explain the medical necessity of keeping your power on. Sometimes, persistence and clear communication can make a difference.
We rebuke the spirit of neglect and indifference that would disregard your well-being, especially in such extreme conditions. The Bible calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31), and it is unjust for those in authority to act without compassion. We pray that God would soften the hearts of those making these decisions and grant them wisdom to see the urgency of your situation.

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, You know the heat and the hardship this family is facing, and You see the potential harm that losing power would cause. We ask that You would move in the hearts of those responsible for this decision, that they would show mercy and delay or cancel this work until it can be done safely. Protect this home from harm, Lord, and preserve the food and equipment that are so vital. Provide a way where there seems to be no way, and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We trust in You, Father, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen."
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek out local resources that may be able to assist you during this time. Churches, community organizations, or even neighbors may be able to provide temporary relief, such as a place to store perishable food or a cool space to stay if the power is cut. Do not hesitate to ask for help, God often works through the hands and hearts of His people.
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of placing your trust fully in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is His name that carries authority in heaven and on earth. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, and it is the foundation of our hope in every circumstance.
Continue to stand on God’s promises, and do not lose heart. Psalm 34:17-18 assures us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this, and we believe that God will make a way for you. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will see you through this trial.
