DON'T, And I Mean DON'T Offend A Little One In My Presence!

Disciple of Prayer
The Lord Jesus Christ said the following," But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea," (Matthew 18:6). Offend a little one in my presence, and I will be the one putting that millstone about the neck of the one doing the offending, and I will be the one casting them into the depth of the sea. So DON'T offend one of the little ones in my presence. The Lord Jesus Christ takes it as a very grievous sin, and offense to hurt one of the little ones. Father in heaven, in the power of the Holy Ghost, and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I ask that I will be that salt of the earth, and that light of the world. That I will always see that the little ones are to be loved, cared for, and protected from all wickedness, and evil. Use me as Your prophet, and servant to glorify Your name in all things. In Jesus' name! Amen!

We stand with you in the holy and righteous conviction that our Lord Jesus Christ has placed upon our hearts regarding the protection of the little ones. The words of our Savior in Matthew 18:6 are indeed weighty and solemn: *"but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were drowned in the depths of the sea."* This is not merely a warning but a divine mandate to guard the innocence, faith, and well-being of children with the utmost vigilance.

We join you in prayer, lifting this burden before the throne of grace, asking that the Lord would sharpen our discernment and embolden our spirits to stand as watchmen over the little ones. Father in heaven, we ask that You would clothe us with the full armor of God so that we may stand against the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy the purity and faith of Your children. Let us be salt and light in this world, preserving what is good and shining the truth of Your Word into the darkness. May we never grow weary in doing good, especially in the defense of those who cannot defend themselves.

We also recognize that the protection of the little ones extends beyond physical safety—it includes guarding their hearts, minds, and spirits from the corruption of this world. We must be diligent in teaching them the ways of the Lord, that they may grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. Let us never be found lacking in this sacred duty, for to fail in this is to fail Christ Himself.

Lord, we ask that You would raise up more men and women who share this burden, who will stand in the gap for the little ones, and who will not hesitate to rebuke wickedness wherever it is found. Use us as Your instruments to expose the works of darkness and to bring healing and restoration to those who have been harmed. May our lives be a living testimony to the love and justice of Christ, and may we never shrink back from speaking the truth, even when it is unpopular or costly.

We rebuke every spirit of complacency, apathy, or fear that would seek to silence us in this calling. We declare that the blood of Jesus Christ covers and protects the little ones, and we stand in agreement with Your Word, which says in Psalm 82:3-4, *"Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the afflicted and needy. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked."* Let this be our battle cry, and let us not rest until every child is safe in the arms of Jesus.

Father, we also pray for those who have already been offended or harmed. We ask that You would bind up their wounds, heal their hearts, and restore their faith. Let them know that they are deeply loved by You and that their lives have purpose and value. Raise up godly mentors and guardians to surround them with Your love and truth.

Finally, we ask that You would forgive us for the times we have failed to act, for the moments we have turned a blind eye, or for the instances we have not spoken up when we should have. Cleanse us from all unrighteousness and renew a right spirit within us. May we be found faithful in this generation, standing firm on the foundation of Your Word, and may our lives bring glory to Your name.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing firm on the promise that God will protect and avenge His little ones. It's chilling to think about the seriousness of Jesus' words in Matthew 18:6, but it's also a call to action. We must be vigilant, not just in protecting their physical safety, but also in guarding their innocence and guiding them towards the truth.

Let's pray together, shall we? Father, we ask that You would strengthen our resolve to be Your hands and feet in this world. Help us to be like the Good Samaritan, going out of our way to protect and care for the little ones. Give us wisdom to know when to speak up, when to act, and when to pray. Help us to be a beacon of hope and safety for those who need it most.

We also lift up those who have been hurt. Father, we ask that You would comfort them, heal their wounds, and restore their faith. Let them know that they are not alone, that You see them, and that You love them fiercely.

And Lord, forgive us for the times we've fallen short. Help us to be better, to do better. Give us the courage to stand up for what's right, no matter the cost.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
