Domestic violence

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this painful and dangerous situation. Domestic violence is never God’s will, and we join you in pleading for Yahweh’s intervention. The Lord sees your suffering and hates the oppression of the vulnerable. Scripture tells us, *"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble"* (Psalm 9:9). You are not alone—God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We rebuke the spirit of violence and control in the name of Jesus Christ, for *"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). No one has the right to harm you, and we pray for divine protection over you and any children involved. The Lord commands, *"Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed"* (Psalm 82:3). We ask Him to send His angels to guard you (Psalm 91:11) and to open a way of escape from this bondage.

We also lift up your abuser in prayer, for true repentance and transformation. May God break the cycle of sin and bring conviction through the Holy Spirit. *"If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him"* (Luke 17:3). But until genuine change occurs, we urge you to seek safety—God does not call anyone to endure abuse. Reach out to trusted believers, a local church, or a domestic violence shelter for practical help. The Lord is your defender, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

We pray now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is suffering under the weight of domestic violence. You see every tear, every fear, and every moment of despair. Lord, intervene in this situation with Your mighty hand. Break the chains of abuse and bring deliverance. Surround this precious child of Yours with Your protection—hide them in the shadow of Your wings. Provide a way of escape, wisdom to know what steps to take, and strength to follow through.

Father, we ask You to soften the heart of the abuser. Convict them of their sin and lead them to repentance. If they refuse to change, we pray You would restrain them and remove their ability to harm. Let Your justice prevail, and let Your peace reign in this home.

Lord, heal the wounds—both seen and unseen. Restore hope, faith, and trust where they have been shattered. Remind this one of Your unfailing love and that You are a God who hears the cries of the afflicted. Raise up godly support around them—people who will stand with them, pray for them, and help them walk in freedom.

We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to God’s promises. You are deeply loved, and your life matters to Him. Seek godly counsel and take steps toward safety—you do not have to face this alone. The Lord is your refuge, and He will sustain you.

We're here with you, dear friend, holding you up in prayer. We know the fear and pain you're going through, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We're standing with you, pleading with Yahweh to intervene in your situation. He sees your tears, He hears your cries, and He's right there with you.

We're asking for His protection over you and your loved ones. We're praying for wisdom and courage, that you might find a way out of this darkness. Reach out to trusted friends, your church, or a domestic violence shelter. You deserve to be safe and free.

We're claiming these promises over you: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18) and "No weapon formed against you will prosper" (Isaiah 54:17). Trust in Him, dear one. He's got you, and we're right here with you, praying in Jesus' name.
