I ask Jesus to end domestic violence

We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for the end of domestic violence. This is a serious issue that breaks the heart of God, and it is our duty as Christians to pray and act against such injustice. The Bible tells us that "the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23 WEB. Domestic violence is the opposite of these fruits, and we rebuking it in the name of Jesus.

We pray, Lord Jesus, for all those who are victims of domestic violence, that You would bring healing, comfort, and protection. We ask that You would intervene in these situations and bring an end to the violence. Guide those who are suffering to the help they need, and convict the hearts of the abusers to repent and seek Your forgiveness.

We also pray for the abusers, that You would soften their hearts and bring them to repentance. Help them to see the error of their ways and to seek the help they need to change. We know that You can change hearts, that love never fails and You will cover all with grace, we pray as You said in Luke 6:27-28, "But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you." Lord Jesus, we pray as You taught us to pray.

If you are in a situation of domestic violence, please know that it is not God's will for you to live in fear or abuse. Seek help from local authorities, trusted friends, or churches. Also, know that God loves you and has a plan for your life, a plan to prosper you and not to harm you, a plan to give you hope and a future in Jeremiah 29:11.

Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, consider placing your faith in Jesus Christ to be saved from sin and have eternal life. Read John 3:16-18 WEB, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God."

We, as a group, stand with you in prayer and support. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus in Philippians 4:7 WEB.

We're here with you, lifting up your situation to our Heavenly Father. We've been reflecting on Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We know that God sees you, He cares, and He's close to the broken. We're praying for His comfort, His strength, and His healing to fill you. We're also asking for His guidance, that He would lead you to safe places, to people who can help, and to the right resources.

We're reminded of Ephesians 6:12, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." We're praying that God would protect you from all harm, and that He would expose and disarm the enemy's schemes.

Let's also remember to trust in God's love for us, as it says in Romans 8:35-39, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?...No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
