Doctors insist on surgery

Servant of All
Amen and amen to Jesus and Abba. I have indeed been to ### doctors about this ###. All ### states that ### has set in and ### is the only fix. I keep claiming whose report shall we believe. Wisdom and spiritual logic also reminds me that when I pray for healing, I never know how god manifests that. I already had both ### one of the ###. Oh god I do not want my ### to include more ### in my body BUT GOD I will have one more opinion the ### on ### GOD WILLS I also had ### within ### of each other. I am not fond of ### because they wear off too quickly Jesus Jesus Jesus I call on your name!!

We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in fervent prayer as you face this difficult medical decision. Your faith is evident as you declare, "Whose report shall we believe?" Indeed, we believe the report of the Lord, for He is our healer and our strength. The scriptures remind us in Isaiah 53:5 (WEB), "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." We claim this promise over your life today, trusting that God’s will is perfect, whether He chooses to heal you miraculously or through the hands of skilled physicians.

We also recognize your wisdom in seeking another opinion, for Proverbs 11:14 (WEB) tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." It is not a lack of faith to seek godly wisdom in medical matters, it is an act of stewardship over the body God has entrusted to you. We pray that this next consultation will bring clarity and peace, aligning with God’s perfect plan for your healing.

Yet, we must also gently address a concern in your words. You mention relying on treatments that "wear off too quickly," and while we understand the frustration of temporary relief, we encourage you to place your ultimate trust in the Lord alone. Psalm 118:8 (WEB) declares, "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man." Even the best medical interventions are limited, but God’s power is limitless. We pray that you would find your hope and security in Him above all else.

Now, let us lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Great Physician. We thank You for Your promise of healing and for the peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we ask that You grant wisdom to the doctors treating our brother/sister, that they would see clearly what is needed and that their hands would be guided by Your divine purpose. If surgery is Your will, prepare their heart to accept it with faith, knowing that You work all things together for good. If You choose to heal miraculously, we declare Your power over this situation, for nothing is too hard for You.

Father, we rebuke fear, doubt, and anxiety in Jesus’ name. Replace them with Your perfect peace, as Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB) says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are with them every step of the way.

We also pray for protection over their mind and emotions. Let them not grow weary or lose heart, for Galatians 6:9 (WEB) tells us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and fill them with hope as they wait on You.

Finally, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to bring glory to Your name through this trial. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to God’s promises, dear one. He has not abandoned you, and His plans for you are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Whether through divine intervention or medical means, He is working on your behalf. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and remember that His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). We are standing with you in prayer, believing for your complete restoration.

I received because I believe

We hear the weight in your words, the dread of another surgery, the frustration with temporary fixes, and the deep desire to avoid more metal in your body. After all you’ve already endured, that hesitation isn’t a failure of faith; it’s the honest ache of a weary person who still keeps calling on Jesus. And He hears you. You’re doing exactly what we would encourage: seeking one more opinion while clinging to the truth that God can heal through any means He chooses, including the hands of a surgeon. That’s not a contradiction; it’s wisdom in action.

Getting that appointment on the ### is a good, grounded step. As you wait, try not to let the “what-ifs” paralyze you. You don’t need to have this figured out today. Just keep bringing your raw fear to the One who can handle it, Jesus isn’t put off by your anxiety or your tears. Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is simply show up and say, “I don’t know how You’ll do it, but I trust You anyway.”

We won’t pretend to know how God will answer, but we will stand with you and ask for the clarity and peace you desperately need.

Jesus, we pray for our friend right now. Quiet the racing thoughts and settle the heart with Your presence. Give sharp insight to the doctor on the ### and guide the path forward, however unexpected it might look. Surround our friend with steady peace that doesn’t depend on the outcome, and let Your nearness be more real than the fear. In Your strong name, amen.

Your soul is like the Shulamite, a company of two armies: fear and faith battling within you. You cry out to Jesus, yet the thought of more metal in your body makes you tremble. Do not be ashamed of this mixture; it is the portion of God’s own children while they are yet in the body. Jacob felt the very same as he went to meet Esau, crying, “I fear him,” and then clutching fast to God’s word, “Thou saidst, I will surely do thee good.” So do you: you claim the report of the Lord while the doctors’ report rings in your ears. This is the raw stuff of a struggling faith, and such faith God will honor.

Yet faith must not rest only in claiming a bare word; it must press into the Promise-giver Himself. He has said, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” When you are afraid, that is the very moment to trust Him. Fear is the dark backdrop against which the diamond of faith shines brightest. You ask, “Will He plead against me with His great power?”, sending a surgery that fills you with dread. The answer of faith is, “No; but He will put strength in me.” That same power becomes your refuge. If it is His will that you walk through the valley of the surgeon’s knife, He will walk with you, and His presence will make the shadows flee.

It is well to seek another opinion and to use wisdom, for grace does not command us to neglect the body. But in all your searching, let your soul bow low before God’s will. The axle of the universe is His good pleasure, and the events of your life are ordered by His hand. Whether healing comes by a word of command or by the skill He has placed within surgeons, it is still His doing. Do not let the fear of death or the dread of more metal become a bondage. Turn your eyes to Jesus, who conquered the grave. He loves you with an everlasting love, and under that love you are safe, in life, in surgery, in recovery, through all the unknown.

Moved with a holy fear, fly to Christ. Let your fear be swallowed up in a greater fear, a fear of doubting His goodness. If you trust Him, He will keep His promise, not only to the letter, but to the fullest meaning your faith can grasp. “What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee.” That is your confession, and it is enough. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Even if your body bears more marks of the fall, your soul abides under the covenant seal: “I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.” Fear not, thou worm; the Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will help, He will strengthen, He will uphold. Only believe, and let your faith, even now, be the substance of your healing hope.
