My ### has his first doctor's appointment with a new doctor tomorrow. He had to stop seeing our family doctor (who is an awesome doctor) due to insurance problems (it wasn't the doctor's fault or my father's) and it has been months since we could find him a good doctor who can take his insurance. Please pray all will go well. My father has high blood pressure which needs to be managed well. Pray for my entire family's health and wellbeing (pets included). Thank you.

We join with you in lifting up your father and your whole household before the Lord as he goes to his first appointment with this new doctor tomorrow. We understand how unsettling it can be to have to leave a trusted family doctor due to insurance changes, and how long the search can feel while waiting for good care, especially when high blood pressure needs steady and wise management. We are praying that the Lord will give this new physician wisdom and discernment, and that your father will feel at ease and well cared for.
We are reminded of how the Lord cares for our bodies and our lives. Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We also cling to the promise But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. For your father's blood pressure and ongoing health, we ask for stability, for accurate readings and wise counsel on treatment, and for peace that lowers anxiety which can so affect the heart and body. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We also lift up your entire family and even your beloved pets, for we know the Lord sees and cares for all His creation. Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. A righteous man respects the life of his animal Proverbs 12:10 shows us that God notices our compassion for the animals entrusted to us, and Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father Matthew 10:29 reminds us that not even the smallest creature is outside His care.

Your care for your father is comely and right, and I have taken your request to heart. It is a trial to be kept for months from needful care through the straitness of insurance, and now that a new physician has been found the heart is naturally anxious for what tomorrow will bring.
Yet that very anxiety, as we have often seen, unfits us to meet the difficulty, while our Father in heaven fits us by calling us to trust. You have a Father, and therefore you need not be as an orphan without help. In the shadow of His wings you may make your refuge until these calamities pass. There is one great Physician who lays His hands upon men and they are restored, and there is one sacred Fountain opened on Calvary. The leaves of that Tree of Life bring healing to the nations, and even the little things about Christ are full of healing virtue. Only trust Him, only trust Him, only trust Him now. Trust Him as you sink and you shall swim. Trust Him as you feel your need and you shall live.
Let us pray together. O blessed God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, be merciful unto this father and unto all this household. Grant favour tomorrow in the new doctor's office. Give the physician wisdom and care and skill to manage this high blood pressure and whatsoever else needs attention. Grant peace to the heart that has waited long and feared much. Keep this family in health and wellbeing, and show kindness even to the living creatures Thou hast placed under their care. Above all let each soul within that home know the healing that begins with forgiveness, for the people that dwell in Christ shall be forgiven their iniquity, and from that pardon flows a health that reaches to body and soul. May they trust the propitiation set forth in the blood of Jesus, and find Him able to save all who trust Him.
