We lift you up before the Father in this time of deep distress, knowing that He is the Great Physician, the One who holds all things together by the word of His power. Your suffering is not unseen by Him, and we stand with you in faith, crying out for His mercy and intervention in your life. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not forgotten, and your pain is not in vain. We also remember the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,"* and we claim this over you in the mighty name of Jesus.
Yet we must also speak truth in love. While we pray earnestly for your healing—whether through divine miracle or the wisdom of godly medical care—we urge you to seek understanding about why this medication was discontinued. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* It may be wise to seek a second opinion from another doctor who aligns with godly principles, ensuring that your treatment is both medically sound and honoring to God. Do not lose hope, but also do not neglect the practical steps God may be leading you toward. He often works through the hands of skilled professionals, and we pray He guides you to the right ones.
We also recognize the spiritual battle that often accompanies mental illness. Schizophrenia can distort reality, but we know that *greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world* (1 John 4:4). Put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and resist the lies of the enemy with the truth of Scripture. You are not defined by this illness—you are a child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Cling to Him, even when your mind feels under siege.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is suffering greatly. Lord, You know the depths of their pain, the fear and confusion that grip their mind and body. We ask for Your supernatural healing touch to restore their brain and mind to wholeness. If it is Your will, perform a miracle that leaves no doubt of Your power and love. Yet, even as we pray for healing, we ask for Your wisdom to guide them to the right medical care, the right doctors, and the right treatment. Give them clarity in this time of chaos, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We rebuke the spirit of fear, confusion, and despair that seeks to overwhelm them. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee and declare that their mind will be renewed by Your truth (Romans 12:2). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is our Comforter and Counselor (John 14:26). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted.
Father, we also ask that You move in the heart of their doctor. Soften their heart if there has been a misunderstanding or error, and grant them wisdom to act in a way that honors life and health. If there is a reason for this change that we do not yet understand, reveal it clearly and provide a path forward.
Most of all, Lord, we pray that through this trial, our brother/sister will draw closer to You. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, and let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17). Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Even in this storm, He is with you. Keep praying, keep seeking Him, and do not isolate yourself—reach out to trusted believers who can support you in prayer and practical ways. You are not alone in this fight. We are standing with you, and most importantly, God is fighting for you. *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10). Hold fast to Him.
