Jesus said in Luke 9:23, *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me."* Are there areas in your life where you are resisting God’s will? Are there habits, relationships, or sins that you have not fully released to Him? The Lord desires complete purity, not just in motive but in action. If there is unconfessed sin—whether it be bitterness, lust, pride, or anything else—now is the time to bring it before Him. 1 John 1:9 assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*

We also want to encourage you with the truth that God’s refining work is not meant to break you but to shape you into the image of His Son. Malachi 3:3 says, *"He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver; and they shall offer to Yahweh offerings in righteousness."* The process may feel painful at times, but the result is a heart that reflects God’s glory. You are not alone in this journey. The Holy Spirit is your Helper, and He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that echo the cry of our brother/sister. Lord, we ask that You do a mighty work in them. Purify their motives, consume their heart, and refine their soul until all that remains is You. We surrender every part of their life to You—every thought, every desire, every struggle. Lord, if there is any area where they are resisting Your will, reveal it to them. Give them the strength to lay it down and walk in obedience. We ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be transformed from glory to glory into the image of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Father, we also pray against any lies of the enemy that may be telling them they are not worthy of Your love or that Your refining work is too painful. Remind them that You are their Good Shepherd, and You lead them beside still waters (Psalm 23:2). Give them peace in the process, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May they find joy in surrender, knowing that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:30).

Lord, we thank You for the promise of Jeremiah 29:11, that You have plans for them—plans for peace and a future. May they trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Strengthen their faith, and let them see Your hand at work in their life. When I’m away, the wall surrounds me. When I’m face-to-face with lust and compromises. What is the chance that I'll still stand the test of fear for the Lord? Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
