The Scriptures warn us that in the last days, many will turn away from sound doctrine, giving heed to deceiving spirits (1 Timothy 4:1). Yet we are called to stand firm in the truth, resisting the enemy with the authority we have in Jesus Christ.
You have rightly identified the works of the flesh in Galatians 5:19-21, which include enmity, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, and envy. These are the very tools the enemy uses to fuel the spirit of divorce. But the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—is what God desires to cultivate in our lives and marriages.
