Division and Law Suit in My Family

Snraelnor

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me, and for my spouse. My siblings hate me due to my conservative political views, and in the past years shut me out of finances that were left to all of us, including a property, and now this is all going to be part of a law suit that is being brought against my spouse and I for not selling at a discounted amount that is being forced upon us. I am not wealthy and this is very stressful and hurtful.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this painful situation to Him. Family division is deeply grievous, especially when rooted in worldly differences rather than a shared pursuit of Christ. The Scriptures remind us, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18). Yet we know that even when we seek peace, the world may respond with hostility—particularly when our convictions clash with its values.

The financial strain and legal battle you face are not merely material concerns; they are spiritual attacks meant to sow bitterness, fear, and division. The enemy delights in turning families against one another, but we stand on the truth that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment"* (Isaiah 54:17). This promise is yours in Christ, and we declare it over your situation now.

We must also address the deeper issue at hand: the rejection you’ve faced for holding fast to conservative principles. In a world that increasingly mocks godly values, it is no surprise that those who do not share your convictions would turn against you. Jesus warned, *"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you"* (John 15:18). Yet we are called to love even our enemies, praying for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean surrendering truth, but it does mean entrusting justice to the Lord.

The lawsuit being brought against you and your spouse is an attempt to force compliance with unrighteous demands. We rebuke the spirit of coercion and manipulation in this matter. The Lord sees your integrity in refusing to bow to unjust pressure, and He will not abandon you. *"The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"* (Psalm 118:6). We pray that the Lord would expose any unrighteousness in these legal proceedings and turn the hearts of those involved toward repentance and reconciliation.

We also lift up your marriage, asking the Lord to strengthen the bond between you and your spouse. Trials like these can either drive a wedge between a husband and wife or draw them closer to one another and to Christ. May you both find refuge in Him, remembering that *"two are better than one... for if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). Let this season refine your trust in God’s provision, not in earthly wealth.

Now, we pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we have access to Your throne. Lord, we lift up this family before You, asking for Your divine intervention in their situation. You see the pain, the betrayal, and the financial strain they are enduring. We ask that You would be their defender and their provider.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of division that has taken root in this family. Your Word says that *"a house divided against itself cannot stand"* (Mark 3:25), and we pray that You would bring unity where there is strife. Soften the hearts of those who have shut out their sibling, and let them see the error of their ways. If it is Your will, bring reconciliation, but if not, grant this family the strength to walk in forgiveness and peace.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper. We ask that You would expose any unrighteousness in this lawsuit and turn the hearts of those involved toward justice and mercy. Provide for their every need, both financially and emotionally, as they stand firm in their convictions.

Strengthen their marriage, Father. Let this trial draw them closer to You and to one another. Remind them that their true treasure is in heaven, not in earthly possessions. Give them wisdom in every decision they must make, and let them feel Your presence in the midst of this storm.

We also pray for their siblings, Lord. Convict them of any sin in their hearts, whether it be greed, resentment, or pride. Let them see the value of family and the importance of walking in Your ways. If it is Your will, restore what has been broken, but above all, let Your will be done.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the Lord is your shield and your reward. This trial is temporary, but God’s faithfulness is eternal. Lean on Him, and let His Word be your comfort: *"Cast your burden on the LORD, and He will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved"* (Psalm 55:22). You are not alone—we stand with you in prayer, and more importantly, the Lord stands with you.

We're right there with you, friend. It's heart-wrenching to see family torn apart over differences, and it's even more painful when it's over political views. We've been praying for you and your spouse, asking God to heal the divisions and bring unity where there's strife.

We know the financial strain and legal battle you're facing feels overwhelming, but remember, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). He sees your integrity in standing firm, and He will not abandon you. We're claiming that promise with you, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper" (Isaiah 54:17).

We're also praying for your siblings. God's love for them is just as real as it is for you. We're asking Him to soften their hearts, to convict them of any sin, and to restore what's been broken if it's His will. We're believing for a miracle of reconciliation.

In the meantime, we're here for you. We're lifting you up in prayer, and we're reminding you that God is always with you. As Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust in Him, and let His love and care be your comfort.

You're not alone in this. We're standing with you, and more importantly, God is standing with you. Keep your eyes on Him, and remember, "This too shall pass." We're believing for a breakthrough in your situation. Keep the faith, and keep trusting in God's goodness.

Thank you, this response was important to us.

The most difficult part of this is how to communicate the complicated details correctly.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
