We join with you in seeking the Lord’s divine wisdom as you establish Leadership and Innovation Fellowships across your businesses. The Scripture you referenced in James 1:5 is a powerful reminder that God delights in giving wisdom to those who ask in faith: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." We also recall Proverbs 2:6, which declares, "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding." True wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord, and we pray that every decision, innovation, and leadership initiative would be rooted in reverence for Him.

Let Your love and justice flow through every endeavor, as Proverbs 19:17 reminds us: "He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord; He will reward him for what he has done." We also pray for discernment in stewardship. May every resource, time, talent, and treasure, be managed with wisdom and accountability, ensuring that all is used for Your glory. Heavenly Father, we declare that no weapon formed against this vision will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The prayer is rightly directed, for James indeed instructs us to ask of God. Yet let us not deceive ourselves, wisdom is not a mere business tool to be fetched as one fetches a hammer. True wisdom has a name, and it is Jesus Christ. He is the power of God and the wisdom of God. Before you speak of leadership and innovation, see to it that you possess this wisdom, for without it man is as the wild ass’s colt, wasting strength that might be profitably employed. Many dream they have discovered wisdom in their own schemes and sense of goodness, but they are as blind as a fierce lion that knows not the path of peace. The way of wisdom is a path no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye hath not seen. It begins not in a boardroom but at the cross, where bankrupt debtors cry, “Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner.”

You ask to be connected with mentors, investors, and strategic partners who strengthen your mission. This is a right instinct, for we desire that others might have fellowship with us. But let us be clear: the fellowship that first and last matters is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. All other partnerships are wood, hay, and stubble unless built upon this foundation. What will it profit to raise a fellowship of inventive minds if their hearts walk in darkness and know nothing of converse with the Crucified? We have had some small degree of fellowship with him in his sufferings, a felt sympathy with his groanings over a fallen world, this is of more value than all the topaz of Ethiopia. Let every innovation you pursue flow from a heart that has first agreed with God that holiness is good and that his will, though it cost all, is always best.

Therefore, test your desire. Do you seek a fellowship of innovation merely to create employment and improve healthcare, or do you pursue these things that in them Christ might be proclaimed and his wisdom displayed? The only healthcare that ultimately matters is the balm of his blood. The only employment of eternal significance is being a worker together with him in the salvation of men. If Christ be not the architect of your fellowship, the very foundations will crumble. Let your wisdom be to face the business of your own soul first. Give up all attempts to pay your own way or to succeed by the strength of your own right hand. Let your highest innovation be to find fresh means of bringing souls to the Savior who loved you and gave himself for you. Then, walking in the light as He is in the light, you will have true fellowship with us; and our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. From that communion, as a sweet stream from a fountain, will flow every proper leader and every useful invention. Seek not merely a fellowship of leaders, seek a fellowship of the broken-hearted who have tarried with Jesus, and whose first ambition is to know him and the fellowship of his sufferings. That is the steppingstone to the beatified fellowship of Heaven, and the only sure ground upon which any Christian endeavor can stand.

You ask for wisdom to establish Leadership and Innovation Fellowships, and rightly you turn to the Giver of all wisdom, for His word assures that He gives generously to those who ask. Yet observe carefully the nature of this wisdom you seek. The world praises a wisdom that is clever in commerce, shrewd in partnership, and productive of visible results: solutions, employment, better health, stronger communities. These are good things, but they are not the highest good, and the wisdom that pursues them exclusively is a wisdom that is coming to nothing. God’s wisdom is of another order: it is hidden, ordained before the ages for our glory, and revealed in the mystery of Christ crucified, which to the worldly mind seems foolishness.

When you pray for leaders of integrity, vision, and excellence, remember that true integrity is born not of human resolve but of the fear of the Lord. True vision sees beyond quarterly profits and public approval to the eternal kingdom. True excellence is conformity to the Son. Do not trust in the wisdom of this age, which supposes it needs no help from the Spirit, for all that is born of the flesh is flesh. If your fellowships proceed without a continual posture of dependence, treating God as a mere benefactor for temporal plans, even your successes will be hollow. Better a humble workshop that fears God than a multinational enterprise whose foundations are laid in pride.

I do not forbid you to seek mentors, investors, and strategic partners; even the Apostle bids us pray for those in authority that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life. Good order in society is a gift, and those who rule well deserve honor. But the true benefit of such tranquility is that the gospel may advance without hindrance. So let every innovation and partnership be measured by whether it serves that end: the salvation of souls and the glory of Jesus Christ. If your business brings healing to bodies but leaves souls untouched, you have gained little. If you create employment but the employed are taught to love the world, you have done them a lasting harm.

Therefore, seek wisdom, but seek it in the place where it is found: in the Scriptures, on your knees, in the assembly of the saints, and in the counsel of those who walk humbly with God. Let your fellowships be nurseries of godliness, not merely of skill. Train leaders who will be servants, not masters; who will look to the interests of others; who will count all things loss for the sake of Christ. Then indeed your labor will not be in vain, and the wisdom that comes from above, pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy and good fruits, will attend your work and leave a fragrance that outlasts all earthly enterprises.
