Humble Prayer Partner
Pray for me please. ###. ###. I have brain damage from drinking alcohol after my husband disappeared and married his secret girlfriend. We hired a private investigator. I drank so much alcohol I got fired. Worked there over ### years. I was arrested for public intoxication. I was hospitalized. Then my sister put me in an old folks nursing home and told me I deserved to be dead. I’m home. My daughters brought me home. No car keys. No money. I’m on surveillance camera inside and out. It’s not living. I’m sad 24/7. My sister pays people to hang out with me. I don’t want to live like this. I need God’s forgiveness. Healing. Rebirth. Pray for me. Please pray for ###. ###

We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts break with yours. The pain of betrayal, the weight of addiction, the loneliness of feeling discarded, these are burdens no one should carry alone. But we come before the throne of grace together, lifting you up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and healed.

First, we must speak truth in love: your husband’s actions were a grievous sin against you and against God. Adultery breaks the covenant of marriage, and his deception compounded the wound. But his choices do not define your worth or your future. The Lord sees your suffering, and He collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not forgotten, nor are you beyond His redemption. The fact that you are asking for God’s forgiveness and healing is evidence of His Spirit already at work in you.

Your struggle with alcohol was a misguided attempt to numb the pain, but we must rebuke the lie that you "deserved to be dead." That is not the voice of God, it is the voice of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Jesus came so that you might have life, and have it abundantly. Your sister’s words were cruel and ungodly; we rebuke them in Jesus’ name. God’s Word declares that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). You are not your mistakes. You are His beloved, and He is making all things new (Revelation 21:5).

The brain damage you mention is a heavy burden, but we serve a God who heals. We pray for divine restoration of your mind, just as Jesus restored the man with the withered hand (Mark 3:5) and the woman who had been bleeding for twelve years (Mark 5:34). We declare healing over every damaged neuron, every frayed connection, every area of impairment. The same God who formed you in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) can renew your mind and restore what has been lost. We also pray for wisdom for your doctors and therapists, that they would be guided by the Great Physician in your care.

Your daughters bringing you home is a tender mercy from the Lord. They are a gift to you, and we pray that your relationship with them would be a source of healing and joy. We rebuke the spirit of isolation that has kept you under surveillance and feeling trapped. You are not a prisoner; you are a daughter of the King, and He has set you free (Galatians 5:1). We pray that the Lord would open doors for meaningful connection, true fellowship with believers who will walk with you in love and accountability.

We must address the reality of your circumstances with honesty and hope. You are in a season of consequences, but consequences are not the end of the story. The Lord disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6), not to punish, but to restore. We encourage you to seek biblical counseling, both for the trauma of betrayal and for the battle with addiction. Programs like Celebrate Recovery or Christian counseling can provide tools rooted in Scripture to help you walk in freedom. You will need support to rebuild your life, and we pray that the Lord would provide godly mentors, financial provision, and opportunities to use your gifts again.

Most importantly, we pray for your rebirth, your spiritual renewal. If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ. Confess your sins, repent, and receive His forgiveness. He is faithful and just to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). We pray that you would experience the depth of His love, a love that casts out fear (1 John 4:18) and heals the brokenhearted (Psalm 147:3).

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister in Christ. Lord, You see her pain, her shame, her longing for healing. We ask for Your mercy to flood her life. Forgive her, Lord, for the ways she has turned to alcohol to cope, and cleanse her from all unrighteousness. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that have told her she is worthless or beyond repair. You declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we stand on that truth.

We pray for physical healing, Father. Touch her brain, Lord. Restore what has been damaged. Give her clarity, memory, and strength. Provide her with doctors and therapists who will partner with You in her recovery. We ask for financial provision, Lord. Open doors for her to rebuild her life, to find meaningful work, and to regain her independence. Protect her from the schemes of those who would take advantage of her vulnerability.

We pray for her daughters, Father. Bless their relationship with their mother. Give them wisdom and patience as they walk this journey with her. Heal any wounds between them, and let their love be a reflection of Your love.

Lord, we ask for a community of believers to surround her. Remove the isolation and replace it with fellowship. Bring godly friends into her life who will encourage her, pray with her, and hold her accountable. Let her experience the joy of Your presence and the hope of Your promises.

Most of all, Father, we pray for her spiritual rebirth. Draw her close to You. Let her know the depth of Your love and the power of Your forgiveness. Renew her mind, Lord, and fill her with Your peace. May she find her identity in You alone, and may she walk in the freedom that only Christ can give.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name that heals, restores, and saves. Amen.

You are not alone, dear sister. The road ahead may feel long, but the Lord is with you every step of the way. We encourage you to cling to His promises, to seek His face daily, and to trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are loved, you are valued, and your story is not over. There is hope, and His name is Jesus.

We are so sorry for the weight you are carrying. The betrayal, the loss, the way you have been treated, any one of those would be crushing, and together they have left you feeling trapped and without hope. What you described is not living, and we hear that deep sadness.

If those thoughts of not wanting to go on ever turn toward acting on them, please reach out right now. You are not alone. For free, confidential support any time, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com, or contact your local emergency services. They are there to help.

We want you to know that God’s forgiveness is already present for you. It is not something you have to earn back by crawling out of this pit first; He meets you right in the middle of it. You can come to Him with every regret, every shameful memory, and He will not turn away. That is the rebirth you are asking for, a fresh start that begins now, not after you fix everything.

At the same time, the brain injury and the depression you are describing are real medical burdens. We encourage you to let your daughters know if you haven’t already, and if possible, see a doctor who can assess what is happening physically and emotionally. Prayer is essential, and so is the care God provides through medicine and wise counsel.

As we pray, we ask for all that you need: healing for your mind, a restored sense of worth, freedom from the isolation of cameras and paid companions, and genuine community that sees your value. We pray for God’s peace to quiet the sadness, and for His hand to make a way toward real living again, a life marked by dignity and connection. In Jesus’ name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The sorrows you describe are deep and dark, the kind that break the spirit and leave the soul in a dry and weary land. Your husband’s betrayal, the loss of your labor, the shame of arrest, the cruelty of your sister, all this has wounded you sore, and you have sought to dull that pain with drink, only to find yourself more shattered still. Yet hear this: it is often in such desperate straits that the Lord draws near. Think of the poor man let down through the roof, his need was great, his hope small, yet he was brought to the very feet of Jesus. You, too, have been brought low, and from that low place there is nowhere to look but up. In the dust of self-abasement is the place for hope, for God never pardons the proud, but He knows the contrite heart. You cry for forgiveness, and that is the true beginning of all healing. Remember, the Lord Jesus Himself spoke first, “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee,” and only then commanded the man to rise and walk. Forgiveness is the root; healing is the fruit.

You feel you have sinned greatly, and so you have, but the blood of Christ is greater still. Do not think you are beyond hope, that would be so only if there were no God of love and pity. But while Jehovah lives, the mourner need not despair. Your very pain over your sins is God’s work in your soul; He wounds that you may seek Him. Lay hold of this: the people that dwell in Zion shall be forgiven their iniquity, and the inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick.” Pardon and healing are placed together in happy conjunction for such as you. Believe this for yourself. As Luther was told in his dark distress, so I say to you: “Do you not believe in the Creed, and do you not say, ‘I believe in the forgiveness of sins’? Now believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself.” Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and He is able to heal, even now, even you.

The leaves of that tree of life are for the healing of the nations. Observe that: not the fruit alone, but the leaves, the very least things about Christ are full of healing virtue. A touch of His garment’s hem, a word from His lip, the hearing of the Gospel, these can change the lifeblood, affect the spirits, make the nature other than it was before. You are watched and confined, but no walls can keep out the healing presence of Christ. He can reach you where you sit, in your sadness and weariness. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus and His salvation. The same Lord who healed the sick of the palsy is present now, and He is teaching still through His Word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Take heed how you hear; it is no little thing to listen to the Gospel of Jesus. Fix your mind upon it, and hope will begin to kindle.

You say you are sad 24/7, and that is no wonder. Yet the Lord is the healer of the brokenhearted, the binder of their wounds. He does not despise your tears. Your case is singular in its grief, but that is all the more reason He may make of you a singular trophy of His power to pardon and to bless. Sit not down in despair. Hope on, hope ever. There is One who cares for you. Pour out your heart before the Lord, tell Him your whole case as a patient tells a doctor, hide nothing, confess all. He is ready to hear. And when healing comes, you will desire to minister to Him, even as Peter’s wife’s mother arose and served. But first the healing. First the forgiveness. Your Lord must begin with you before you can begin with Him. Come to the mercy seat in Christ’s name; look to Calvary, where the healing balm flows. There is healing for you. Let this be your only hope, your cry: “Oh, get me to Him! Get me near Him!” He will take you by the hand and lift you up.

Your words have reached the church, and the weight of your sorrow is not hidden from God. You say you are sad without ceasing, that this is not living, and you long for forgiveness, healing, a fresh start. Hear then what the Lord has provided for such as you: a door that never shuts while we breathe. You drank to drown the grief of a great betrayal and a marriage broken by another’s sin. That act was not hidden, and its fruits have been bitter, the loss of your work, your freedom, your health, even the cruelty of your own sister’s words. Yet do you not see that the very sorrow that now crushes you is itself a sign that you are not beyond hope? The sorrow that comes from God over sins committed works a repentance that leads to salvation, without regret. The sorrow of the world merely kills. Which sorrow is yours? If you despise what you did, if you mourn that you despised your own body and ran from God in your pain, then that sorrow is not your enemy; it is a gift, however sharp.

Despair is a far greater destroyer than the sin itself. The devil never despairs of dragging souls down, but we so quickly despair of rising again. What madness! The one who fell can stand again, and the one who stands must watch that he does not fall. Do not listen to the voice within or without that tells you that you are forsaken or that you deserved to hear such a sentence of death from your sister. Those are the words of the evil one, who first pushes you into the pit and then whispers that there is no rope. But the Scriptures cry out: “Today, if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” While it is still called “today,” there is hope. Even at the very gates of hell, a soul may turn and find mercy. The fisherman casts his net all night and catches nothing, yet he casts again. The farmer tends the vine year after year before seeing fruit. So I will not stop declaring to you that the Lord’s lovingkindness is new every moment. You are not in an old folks’ home now; you are at home with your daughters. Though you feel watched and constrained, you are not yet laid in the grave. Therefore there is time: time to weep, time to repent, time to recover strength.

Your body may bear the marks of that season of madness, and the physicians may speak of damage. But what is that to the God who formed the body from dust and who raised the dead? He is able, if it be for your good, to restore what has been lost; but even more, He is able to give you a spirit so renewed that the outward affliction becomes light. We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair. The power does not come from our own strength, we have none, but from Him who raised the Lord Jesus. Lay hold of that power now, not by trying to undo the past, but by turning to Him with your whole heart. Confess that you sought comfort in a false savior, and receive the true forgiveness that Christ purchased with His blood. There is no second washing of regeneration by water, but there is the laver of tears and repentance that restores the soul. It is not possible that such a desire for forgiveness as you now express should fail. Your very sadness, your cry for prayer, is the fruit of seed sown perhaps long ago. Do not abandon the vine just as it is about to bear.

As for your sister and those she pays to be with you, and the cameras that watch you: these are bitter cups. Yet look beyond them. This present life is a plaything, or worse than a plaything, but the things to come are eternal. Your circumstances are not your identity. You are not a prisoner; you are a woman for whom Christ died. Grapple with this first: make your peace with God, and then you will be able to bear whatever else is laid upon you. I beseech you, do not think that because your body is frail, your mind clouded, or your means gone that you are useless or forgotten. The Lord does not despise a broken and contrite heart. The publican went home justified, not the Pharisee.

Today, then, while the light still shines, rise from the ashes of despair. Speak to God as you have written to us, with candor: “I have sinned, I have damaged myself, I have been foolish. Have mercy on me. Heal my soul, and if it please You, my body. Give me rebirth in my inward parts.” And then, trust Him. He is not a man that He should lie. Your daughters brought you home; receive it as a mercy. Let each day be a small step. Hear the word of God, even if only a little, and let it sink deep. From constant hearing, the plow of the word will uproot the evil passion that troubled you. You will not be changed all at once, but you will be changed. I am fully persuaded that those who seek with eager desire will not be sent away empty. May you, having become worthy of the Master’s gentle call, obtain the everlasting blessings, where there is no sorrow, no surveillance, no cruel words, but life eternal in Christ Jesus our Lord. The congregation prays for you; join your own prayers to theirs, and do not let your heart be troubled any longer. Live in the “today” of grace.

Your words reach deep into a place of profound pain, and I want you to know they have been heard. What you have endured, the abandonment, the unraveling, the cruelty dressed up as care, would bring anyone to the end of themselves. And sometimes that is exactly where the God who loves you meets you. Not as a distant observer, but as the One who formed your mind with astonishing, self-mending design. The very brain that has been damaged by alcohol carries, even now, the fingerprints of its Creator. Researchers have uncovered how the body produces chemicals meant to restore those broken connections, how new shoots can reach out and rewire what has been severed. Any process of healing, whether it comes in a moment or unfolds slowly, is still a work of His hand. He fashioned the natural order, and He is not limited by our timetables.

You spoke of needing God’s forgiveness. Please hear this truth: His forgiveness is not like ours. It does not keep a back room full of files. When He pardons, He washes completely. The heaviest chain of guilt, every blackout, every arrest, every word you wish you could take back, He is willing not only to forgive but to forget, to cast it as far as the east is from the west. The greatest miracle He ever works in a human life is not the mending of a body, but the cleansing of a soul. And that miracle is held out to you right now, no probation, no waiting period. The thief on the cross had nothing to offer but a desperate plea, and Jesus answered him with paradise that very day. You do not need to clean yourself up first. You need only turn.

The despair you feel, the sadness that presses in twenty-four hours a day, is not a sign that He has abandoned you. For so many of us, the path to real freedom begins when we stop trying to fix ourselves by our own strength. The apostle Paul reached a point of total despair, crying out, “O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me?” The answer was not a new technique. It was a Person. And when you are emptied of your own resources, He can fill you with His Spirit’s life in a way that leaves no room for boasting, only gratitude. That includes healing, whether it touches your emotions, your memories, or in time the physical fabric of your brain.

Jesus never dealt with every broken person in the same way. Sometimes He spoke a word from a distance. Sometimes He touched. Sometimes healing was immediate; other times it was gradual, like a blind man who first saw men as trees walking. Do not let anyone tell you that you lack faith if you are not instantly whole. Your body is already designed for repair, and that repair is a divine gift. Meanwhile, a healing of the mind and heart can happen even when the body lags behind. The scars of rejection, the wounds from a sister’s contempt, the grief of a husband’s betrayal, these too are not beyond His reach.

The surveillance cameras, the lack of car keys, the hollow shell of a life arranged by someone who wished you dead, none of this is hidden from the Lord who sees. He does not need a camera to watch you; He knows every thought, every chemical message firing across your brain, and He is not repelled by the chaos. He came precisely for the sick, not those who think themselves well. And He still commands unclean spirits of despair and self-hatred to leave, because His authority has not diminished.

Forgiveness is not optional for us either, and I know that may feel impossible. Your sister, your husband, the ones who paid people to pretend to be friends, they have wronged you deeply. But holding onto that offense will only drink poison and expect them to die. Jesus, when nailed to a cross, prayed for those driving the nails. That does not mean you pretend the evil was not evil. It means you hand them over to the only just Judge and let His mercy wash you free from the acid of bitterness. He commands forgiveness not to trap you, but to release you from a prison whose bars are built of your own pain.

Right now, the most urgent thing is not your brain function, your finances, or your circumstances. It is your soul’s peace with God. Jesus bore your griefs and carried your sorrows; the suffering prophesied of Him included both the spiritual burden of sin and the physical weight of sickness. When He broke bread, He offered His body broken for you, a promise that redemption touches every part of our brokenness. If you have breath, you have the capacity to call on Him. Do that now. Not a formal prayer, but the honest cry of a heart that knows it cannot climb out alone. Tell Him you accept the forgiveness He bought. Tell Him you give Him your wreckage and ask for His Spirit to do what you cannot.

He will answer. He always answers the one who comes in truth. And though the road back may involve small, almost imperceptible steps, a new connection forming in the brain, a moment of calm instead of sorrow, a memory that loses its sting, you will not walk it unseen. I am praying, and many will join, that you will know the rebirth you long for. You are not a lost cause. You are a candidate for the kind of miracle that leaves the angels marveling.

We want to thank you from the depths of our hearts for trusting us with your deeply personal and painful journey. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap for you, lifting your request for divine physical healing, emotional restoration, and spiritual rebirth before our Heavenly Father. We have prayed fervently for God’s mercy to touch your mind, body, and soul, asking Him to mend the brokenness caused by loss, betrayal, and the grip of addiction. We have interceded on your behalf, asking the Lord to replace your sorrow with His peace, your despair with His hope, and your isolation with His presence.

We have also prayed for your daughters, that God would strengthen them with wisdom, patience, and love as they walk this difficult path with you. We asked the Lord to soften your sister’s heart, that she might see you through His eyes and extend grace instead of judgment. We lifted up the private investigator and all those involved in uncovering the truth, asking God to guide their steps and bring clarity to the situation. Most of all, we prayed for your heart to be drawn closer to Jesus, for His forgiveness to wash over you, and for His healing power to flow through every part of your life.

If God has moved in miraculous ways since you shared your request—if you’ve felt His peace, seen His provision, or experienced even the smallest measure of healing—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a beacon of hope to others walking a similar path. If, however, the weight of this trial still feels heavy and the answers seem distant, please know that we are not finished praying. We will continue to stand with you, lifting your needs before the throne of grace. You are not alone, and we will not stop interceding until you see the breakthrough you so desperately need.

May the Lord bless you with His comfort in the quiet moments, His strength in the battles, and His joy as you seek Him with all your heart. May you feel His arms wrapped around you, reminding you that you are deeply loved, fiercely protected, and never forgotten. We pray all these things in the powerful, healing name of Jesus. Amen.
