We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you and your family up in prayer. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith, salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess your sins, repent, and place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is through Him that we find true healing, forgiveness, and restoration.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister who is in need of Your divine healing, both physically and spiritually. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You touch her mind and body, restoring what has been damaged by alcohol. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds." We claim this promise over her life, believing that You are able to bring complete restoration. We also ask for Your strength to help her turn away from alcohol, which has brought harm to her body, a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Give her the courage to seek help, accountability, and support as she walks in sobriety.

We also lift up her heart, Lord, which has been deeply wounded by betrayal. The pain of being abandoned by her husband, who chose to live in sin rather than honor his marriage covenant, is not lost on You. We rebuke the spirit of adultery and deception that has operated in his life, and we pray that he would come to true repentance before You. Your Word declares in Hebrews 13:4, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We stand on this truth, trusting that You will bring justice and conviction where it is needed.

Father, we also bring before You the relationships that have been fractured, particularly with her sister. We ask that You soften hearts and remove any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness that may be present. Your Word commands us in Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Lord, help this sister to extend grace as she has received it from You, and help her sister to see her through Your eyes. Restore their bond, Lord, and let their relationship be a testimony of Your redeeming love.

We also pray for her daughters, Lord. Thank You for the reconciliation and connection they have found with their half-sister. We ask that You continue to knit their hearts together in love, protecting them from any division or strife. May their relationship be a reflection of Your grace and unity, as Your Word says in Psalm 133:1, "See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" Guard their hearts, Lord, and let them grow in wisdom and discernment as they navigate this unique family dynamic.

Now, regarding your request for a "new love" or "best friend," we must encourage you to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). While it is natural to desire companionship, we must ensure that any relationship we pursue aligns with Your will and Your Word. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24), and it is designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that You would prepare her heart for a godly man who will love her as Christ loves the Church, a man who is committed to You first and foremost. Until then, Lord, let her find her ultimate fulfillment in You, knowing that You are her Best Friend and Ever-Present Help (Psalm 46:1).

Finally, we pray for forgiveness, Lord. We know that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins when we confess them to You (1 John 1:9). We ask that You cleanse this sister’s heart from any guilt, shame, or regret she may carry. Remind her that in Christ, she is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and that Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Help her to walk in the freedom that comes from Your forgiveness, and let her life be a testimony of Your grace.

We declare healing, restoration, and peace over this family in Jesus’ name. May Your will be done in every area of their lives, and may they come to know You more deeply through this season of trial. We trust You, Lord, and we thank You for Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We hear the heavy regret in your words and the deep longing for things to be made right. You are carrying a great deal of pain, the betrayal of being ghosted, the diagnosis you now face, the ache for your sister’s forgiveness, and the desire for a fresh start. It is no small thing to lay all of this so honestly before God and before others, and we want you to know we are taking your request seriously and praying with you.

You mentioned you have been diagnosed with mild brain damage. While we are not medical professionals, we do want to gently encourage you to stay closely connected to your doctor and follow any treatment plan. If you haven’t already, completely abstaining from alcohol is critical to protecting the healing your brain can still experience. A local support group or a structured recovery program can also offer steady encouragement and practical strategies for staying sober. That step alone is a courageous way to walk in the new life you long for.

Your desire to be forgiven and to see your relationship with your sister restored is beautiful. The fact that you are confessing your struggles shows a heart that is turning toward God, and that is where forgiveness begins. You do not need to carry the weight of shame forever; God’s mercy is real. As you receive His grace, that same humility can open the door with your sister. A simple, specific apology that doesn’t demand a quick response can plant seeds of reconciliation, though it may take time. Keep praying for her, and trust God with the timing.

We also want to hold up the relationships you already have. Your daughters and even the connection with the other family you mentioned show that you are not alone. Even when loneliness feels overwhelming, nurturing those bonds can be a source of comfort.

Please pray with us:

Father, we come to You with this precious woman who is hurting. Thank You for Your promise that when we confess our sins, You are faithful to forgive us and cleanse us. Help her to receive that cleansing today. We ask for continued healing in her brain and body, and for wisdom for her doctors. Bring restoration between her and her sister; soften hearts where there has been distance. Surround her with safe, caring companions who will walk with her, people she can trust. And in this season of rebuilding, give her eyes to see the small signs of Your faithfulness each day. We pray all of this in the strong name of Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The great Physician stands before you, and His word to your soul is the same as to that paralyzed man lowered through the roof: "Man, thy sins are forgiven thee." Do not think this is a small thing or that you must first be healed of your brain's affliction before you can hear it. Your greater sickness is sin, and the pardon of it is the first and most urgent work. You feel the weight of your transgressions, the alcohol, the brokenness, the years of sorrow. Let this truth sink into your heart: there is forgiveness! Not a partial pardon for some sins while others remain, but a full, absolute, complete blotting out of every iniquity. Jesus does not offer a half-pardon. He does not forgive your original sin and leave the later ones; He casts all your transgressions into the depths of the sea. The very moment you look to Him in faith, His blood cleanses you from all sin. You cannot deserve it, that is the very nature of forgiveness. It is for those who have no claim but desperate need. Cast yourself upon the mercy of your Judge, and you shall find that mercy is waiting.

You speak of your sister and the fractured friendship. Study the pattern set before you in Christ. Did He wait for you to seek Him before He loved you? No, His mercy was unsolicited. Before you had thought of mercy, He had thoughts of mercy toward you. Now, as you taste that infinite forgiveness, you are called to let that same free, unmerited grace flow through you. Your sister’s heart may be cold now, but God can touch it. Pray not as one trying to move a reluctant God, but as one who knows God is generous and ready to heal broken bonds. Yet remember, her seeking your forgiveness does not create it, it is the work of God, who can melt the hardest heart. Even as Christ forgave you, so also pray for the grace to forgive any lingering bitterness in your own soul, and trust Him to do the reconciling work.

Concerning a new love and best friend, let your heart be careful here. While your husband lives, the covenant remains; what God has joined, let no one separate. The wound of his betrayal is deep, and your longing for a faithful companion is natural, but your first and truest Husband is Christ. He is the bridegroom of your soul, the friend who sticks closer than a brother. Seek your all in Him. Let your cry be for a deeper communion with Jesus, who will never desert nor forsake you. He is the "good man" whose love is perfect and eternal. Find in Him the satisfaction that no earthly relationship can fully give, and trust Him with your earthly future, whatever He ordains. If it pleases Him to bring a godly man in His time and way, it must be according to His Word; but your soul's great quest must be Christ Himself.

Do not despair because of the mild brain damage. It is a mercy you are still spared to hear the gospel. The ground of your hope is not the soundness of your mind but the soundness of Christ's sacrifice. He bore the punishment. God looks upon the blood of His dear Son, and for His sake, He spares the sinner. There is forgiveness for you, not because you have not sinned grievously, but because Jesus has made a full atonement. Go to God immediately. Meet Him at the Mercy Seat, not the Judgment Seat. Tell Him you are the sinner for whom Christ died, and claim that forgiveness which is in His immediate gift. Let this word drive away all despair: "There is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared." It is new every morning, an eternal, continuous stream of divine compassion. Believe in the forgiveness of sins, for yourself. Believe it, and then rise and walk in newness of life, praising Him who seals mercy, pardon, and righteousness to the most unworthy.

Your soul is weighed down with heavy burdens, and you cry out for healing and forgiveness. But consider this: to ask for God’s mercy while clutching the sins that wounded you is to build a house on sand. You drank to dull the pain of a husband who abandoned his vows, yet the drink has stolen your health and clouded your mind. Do you not see that what began as a refuge became a new chain? God in His lovingkindness has not struck you dead in your sin, but has given you this illness as a sharp call to repentance. Do not despise it. Do not waste these days in self-pity or in dreaming of another man to fill the void your husband left. For while that man lives, to seek a new love is to plan adultery. You say you want a good man this time, but a good man will not join you in breaking the commandment of Christ, who said that whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. Cast this desire from your heart, for it is a serpent you are warming at your breast. Instead, turn with all your might to the true Bridegroom of your soul, who never betrays, never abandons, and heals every wound.

You ask for forgiveness, and rightly, for you have sinned greatly. But let there be no mistake: forgiveness is not a light thing, not a sponge to wipe the slate so you may return to your vomit. The merciful High Priest took on flesh and suffered death to reconcile you to God, but He demands that you sin no more. Will you trample on that blood by seeking comfort in another unlawful union, or by drowning your sorrows again when the ache returns? You have no second Baptism, no other sacrifice for sins if you willfully go on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth. Therefore, stop the drinking entirely, this very day. Flee from the places and companions that tempt you. Fill your mouth with prayer and psalms instead of wine. Let your tears over your sins be your drink.

You speak of your sister: you have wounded her, and you yearn for her friendship. Yet how can you ask God to soften her heart while your own remains hard toward those who wronged you? Forgive your husband. Not as an approval of his wickedness, but as a freeing of your own soul. He has his first wife and a daughter; let them be, and pray that they all come to repentance. But your forgiveness must be real, not a word on the lips while you harbor fantasies of revenge or of a new man to make him jealous. Make room for your sister by humbling yourself, confessing your fault, and bearing her anger if need be. Love is not proved in fair weather but when you bear wrongs without retaliating.

Your daughters watch you. What inheritance are you giving them? A pattern of drunkenness, of seeking solace in creatures rather than the Creator? Or a pattern of repentance, chastity, and patient endurance? Pray for them daily, but also teach them by your changed life that life is not a plaything. This world and its comforts are a shadow; eternity is real. Your mild brain damage is a heavy cross, but do not fix your hope on a physical healing more than on the cleansing of your soul. Many with whole bodies are rotting inwardly. If the Lord sees fit to restore your mind fully, He will do it when you ask in faith, as He asked the blind men, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” But even if He does not, His grace is sufficient, and a purified heart will shine brighter than any earthly health.

Run then, not to another broken cistern, but to the Fountain of living water. Come to the Church, not merely to ask for prayers, but to lay your life on the altar. Give alms to the poor, fast secretly, confess your sins openly before God. Do not say you are constrained by nature; Christ has broken the power of habit for all who cling to Him. The thief on the cross entered Paradise in a single moment of faith, but he did not then climb down to steal again. So you too: turn, and live. The love of God is beyond measure, but it is not a license to sin. Approach Him with boldness, yet with trembling, for He is a consuming fire to those who play the harlot with the world after they have tasted the heavenly gift. May you become a true daughter of Abraham, not by lineage but by faith working through love, so that when the Lord comes, He may find you sober, watchful, and clothed in the righteousness that comes from Him alone.
