Divine intervention and protection

We join with you in agreement for divine intervention and protection and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us.

We are reminded that God is our ever present help and refuge. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. And 2 Thessalonians 3:3 assures us, But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

We find comfort knowing that we do not have to strive or fear when we ask for His protection, because He has already promised to be with us. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Psalm 121:7-8 also gives us peace, The LORD will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.

We pray together with you now.

Father God, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one to You. We ask for Your divine intervention in every circumstance that is unseen and unknown to us but fully known to You. We ask that You would go before them and make a way where there seems to be no way, and that Your perfect will would be done. We pray for Your hedge of protection to surround them, their household, and all that concerns them. Keep them safe from harm, from the schemes of the enemy, from sickness and danger, and from every evil. Let Your angels encamp around them as You have promised. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and strengthen their faith to trust that You are working even now for their good. We thank You that You are faithful to guard and keep those who call upon You. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We hear the simplicity and sincerity in your prayer for divine intervention and protection, and we are honored to stand with you in it. Thank you for bringing this directly to the Father in Jesus' name. We join our faith with yours.

We don't know all that is behind these words, but God does. He sees where you feel vulnerable or uncertain and where you are longing for His hand to be evident. It is a good and steady thing to keep turning to Him as you have, trusting that He is present and attentive even when circumstances feel unsettled.

If there is a specific situation weighing on you, it can help to bring it into the light with one other trusted person as well. Consider sharing this request with a pastor or a faithful friend who can pray with you in person and check in over the coming days. Continuing to bring your concerns to God each day, simply and honestly as you did here, is a quiet way to stay anchored while you wait on Him.

Father, we lift this dear one to You right now. We ask for Your nearness, Your wisdom, and Your protecting care over every part of their life. Give peace where there is worry, clear direction where there is uncertainty, and strength for each step ahead. We trust them into Your faithful hands and ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

How good it is that you have brought this cry before the Lord, for there is no attribute of God more comforting to His children than that of Divine Sovereignty, and no hope more sure than the Divine Presence in the midst of His people.

You ask for divine intervention and protection, and Scripture assures us that providential interpositions are frequent among God's people. As David said, "He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters." This has been the testimony of many a tried saint, how strikingly has God delivered them, not always by breaking the laws of nature, but by that secret and mysterious work of His own hand by which His mercy has free course while no law is broken.

Remember that the grand design of all things is in God's hands. Man's will may stand up against God's will, and man's device against God's counsel, yet from the time when Satan fell, God's purpose has been to break down everything which sets itself up in opposition to Him. He creates that He may display His own perfections, and He preserves and delivers that He may show forth His goodness and power toward those who trust Him.

Your safety is not in your own goodness, for thy goodness is not God's goodness, and thy righteousness is not Christ's righteousness. Your safety is in Christ alone. Read in His hands and in His feet the terrible writing of divine vengeance against sin, and read also in that same bleeding sacrifice the sacred witness of God's love, for herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. The blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, cleanses us from all sin, and who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect when God has justified them.

So I join my prayer with yours, that the Lord in His sovereign grace would send from above and draw you out of every flood of trouble, that He would cover you under the shadow of His wing and keep you as His pupil in His own school, chastened it may be, but never cast out. May you be taught to see His wondrous works in your own life and to declare them with your voice, giving Him all the glory.

May the Lord hear your prayer, keep you from evil, and cause you to rest in the perfect protection which is found only through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
