We stand with you in faith and prayer, dear brother or sister in Christ, lifting your heart and situation before our Heavenly Father. Your patience and trust in God’s timing, even after decades of waiting, is a testament to your faith. The Lord sees your struggle and hears your cries, and we join you in believing that He is working even when we cannot see it.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your mental illness does not define you, nor does it diminish your worth in God’s eyes. He is close to you, especially in your distress, and He promises to sustain you. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
We also want to encourage you with the truth that God’s delays are not His denials. His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. In Habakkuk 2:3, we read, *"For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay."* Even when healing seems slow in coming, God is still at work in your life, shaping you, refining you, and preparing you for the good plans He has for you.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear brother/sister who has carried the weight of mental illness for so long. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. We ask You to move powerfully in their life, bringing Your peace that surpasses all understanding and Your healing touch to their mind, body, and spirit.
Father, we declare that Your promises are true and that You are faithful to fulfill them. We stand on Your Word, which says that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke every spirit of despair, fear, and hopelessness that may have tried to take root in their heart. In the name of Jesus, we command these things to leave and declare that Your peace and joy will fill their soul.
Lord, give them strength for each day and the grace to trust You even when the journey is long. Surround them with Your love, with brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage and support them, and with opportunities to see Your hand at work in their life. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith, and to find their hope and identity in You alone.
We thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We believe that You are working all things together for their good, and we trust You to complete the work You have begun in them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to hold fast to God’s promises, dear one. Surround yourself with Scripture, meditate on His Word, and remain in fellowship with believers who can uplift and pray for you. You are not forgotten, and your faith is not in vain. The Lord is your strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep pressing into Him, and watch how He moves on your behalf.
