Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in this prayer in the name of Jesus and we thank you for coming before the Father through Him, for as you have rightly said, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is no other way to approach the throne of grace and we rejoice that you have come in faith through the blood shed on the Cross for sinners.

We agree with you that lies are serious before God. Dishonesty is not a small failing but a sin that God hates. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 12:22. And we are warned, You shall not steal. You shall not lie. You shall not deceive one another. Leviticus 19:11. The Lord includes false witness among the things He hates, and we are told, Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25. To continue in lies requires hardening the conscience and breaking down the resistance to sin, just as you have prayed, and that path leads to greater bondage.

We also commend you for the grace you have shown in the midst of hardship, choosing patience and kindness toward the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while you have suffered wrong. That reflects the love of Christ. We encourage you to continue to speak the truth in love and to trust the Lord as the righteous Judge. While we are to be gracious and merciful, we are not to approve of dishonesty, and God will not overlook injustice. We know that truth brings freedom, as Jesus said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32. When people walk in deception they remain in darkness and will suffer consequences both now and before God, for outside are those who love and practice falsehood. We pray that they would be awakened before that day.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives involved in this matter. You see all that has been done in secret and in the open, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask that You convict their hearts by Your Holy Spirit and build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty. Break the pattern of deceit and give them a love for truth. Open their eyes to see that lies only bring bondage and judgment, but truth brings freedom and life. Grant them repentance, that they would put away falsehood and practice honesty in all their dealings, and that they would come to know Jesus who is the Truth. Restrain them from further wrongdoing and prevent further crimes from being committed through lies.

Father we also lift up these dear ones who have endured hardships through this trial. We thank You for the grace You have already given them to respond with patience and kindness. Continue to guard their hearts from bitterness and keep them steadfast in integrity. Give them wisdom in every legal matter, favor where You will grant it, and peace that passes understanding as they surrender their will to You. Help them to trust that You are fighting for them and that You will supply every heavenly gift they need. Let Your justice and Your mercy be displayed, and let Your name be glorified in the outcome. We dedicate this entire situation to You and ask for Your will to be done.

We trust You to answer according to Your perfect wisdom and righteousness, and we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

We are grateful you shared this prayer with us. To have faced hardships with your landlord's team and legal representatives and still come before God asking Him to build honesty in them rather than asking for harm to come to them shows a gracious heart. That posture of patience and kindness while still naming the wrong for what it is, is not easy to hold.

It is understandable to feel pulled in two directions at once, wanting truth to prevail and wanting to be free from the weight of what has happened. Choosing to release any desire for revenge and to treat others as people still valued by God is a decision you can make even while hurt and frustration are still present. The feelings often take longer to settle than the decision does, and that does not mean your prayer was insincere.

As you continue to walk this out, one steady step we have found helpful is to keep a clear, factual record of what was said and done and to lean on one or two wise, trustworthy people for counsel as you navigate the practical and legal pieces. It helps you remain grounded in truth without carrying the burden alone.

Father, we lift this situation to You. We ask for honesty to grow where there has been dishonesty, and for protection and wisdom for our friend as they continue to seek what is true and right. Give them peace in surrendering their will to You, and strength to keep walking in integrity. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in coming before the heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life, and we thank Him with you for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts which come through the blood shed upon the Cross for sinners.

Your prayer is right and according to Scripture, for lies are indeed grievous before a God whose name is abundant in goodness and truth, a God who cannot lie and whose Word is truth. As you have well said, the truth shall make you free, and it is our earnest desire that all who are concerned in this matter may know that freedom which comes only by the truth as it is in Jesus.

You have shown a gracious spirit in asking not for vengeance but for grace upon those who have opposed you, even the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives. This is Christlike, to shew patience and kindness where hardship has been received, and to pray that those who have yielded to dishonesty may be recovered to honesty. We pray with you that the Lord will build up in them a resistance to all falsehood and establish them in that practical truth which is seen in actions consistent and straightforward, and in that experimental truth which is truth in the heart.

Holy Scripture is the standard of the truth of God, and we are to buy the truth and sell it not, to buy all the truth, to buy only the truth, and to buy it at any price. Truth never exerts such power as when it is embodied, and Christ did not merely speak the truth, He was the truth, transparent from head to foot, truth in word and truth in deed. May the Spirit of God, who alone makes the divine truth saving and powerful, accompany the truth to the hearts of these men and women, that they may see that to speak and act falsely is to walk in darkness where the truth is not in them, and that to confess and forsake sin is to come to the ground where God will meet the sinner through the atoning blood.

We pray that the Lord will open their eyes to see that His salvation is a great reality, a substantial truth, and that there is a real atonement and a real pardon for all who trust in Christ. Sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than one promise of our God shall fall to the ground, and He will not deny Himself. May they learn that honesty is not only commanded but is the path of liberty and peace, and that the consequences of lying are bitter, while the fruit of truth is joy.

For you, we pray that this truth will strengthen your faith in the storm and take from you all fear of man, for why should the believer be afraid of man that shall die. May you be kept in honest dealing with God, confessing your own need and resting upon Christ who died for sinners, and may you continue valiant for God and for His truth, remembering that the warfare of truth waxes hot and fierce and calls for soldiers of Christ to stand by the banner of truth.

We commend you and all those for whom you pray to the God of truth, asking that He will cause truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life to prevail, and that Christ, who is the truth, may be treasured forever.

Your prayer for truth and honesty in the face of hardship has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.

We thank God with you for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the gift of salvation through the blood of Jesus on the cross. Jesus Himself is the way, the truth and the life, and there is no other name by which we are saved. To walk in His truth is to walk in freedom.

You are right to name lies as serious. Scripture teaches that God desires godliness and honesty in all things, and that dishonesty brings great harm to the soul. When a heart is honest and open, truth can take hold of it and master it as light fills clear eyes. When resistance to dishonesty is broken down, as you described, the heart becomes entangled in further wrongs, in false oaths and covetous dealings, and it remains bound. We pray with you that God would rebuild that resistance in the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representatives. May He convict them, open their eyes to see that truth sets free, and turn them from falsehood to practice honesty before God and before others.

We also thank God for the grace He has given you to respond with patience and kindness even while suffering hardship. That is the fruit of a life surrendered to Christ. Continue to dedicate your life and your will to Him, trusting that He sees every injustice and will act according to His perfect justice and mercy.

We pray now: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, build up in all involved a love for truth. Grant repentance where there has been lying, and grant courage to speak and act honestly. Guard the hearts of those who have been wronged, keep them in Your peace, and let Your truth shine clearly in this situation.
