Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus and we agree with you that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as He said in John 14:6 and we thank God for His presence in your lives and for fighting for you and blessing you with heavenly gifts and for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners.

We affirm with you that lies are serious before God. Scripture is clear that dishonesty is not a small matter. Proverbs 12:22 says lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Exodus 20:16 commands you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor, and Ephesians 4:25 exhorts us therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. We rebuke the spirit of dishonesty and lying, for all lying opposes the character of God who is truth, and Revelation 21:8 warns that all liars will have their part outside the kingdom unless they repent and turn to Christ for forgiveness.

We are encouraged by your grace in praying for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while you have faced hardships. This reflects the heart of Christ who calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us. Romans 12:19 reminds us not to avenge ourselves but to give place to God's wrath, for it is written vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. We praise God that He has given you grace to show the same patience and kindness that was shown to you, and we pray you will continue to walk in that grace without growing weary.

We agree with you that in order to persist in lying, a person must break down all resistance to dishonesty, and we join you in asking the Lord to build that resistance back up in their hearts. We pray that God will convict them, open their eyes, and lead them to practice honesty. John 8:32 promises you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, and we ask that they will come to know that truth in Jesus so they will not suffer the consequences of lying but will find freedom and forgiveness in Him. Colossians 3:9 calls us not to lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and we pray they will put off the old ways and be renewed in truth.

We lift you up now together in prayer.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before you with thanksgiving for your presence, your protection, and the heavenly gifts you pour out. Thank you for the cross and the blood of Jesus shed for sinners. Lord, you see the dishonesty and the serious wrongs that have been done, and you hate lying. We ask that you would work in the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and every legal representative involved, convict them of any falsehood, build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty, and teach them to love and practice honesty. Open their eyes to see that truth will set them free and draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus. Give them a desire to make right what has been made wrong. For our brothers and sisters who pray, we ask that you sustain them, guard their hearts from bitterness, keep them in patience and kindness, provide justice according to your perfect will, and let your truth prevail in this situation. We dedicate our lives to you anew and surrender our will to yours, trusting you to act in righteousness and mercy. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We are grateful you shared this prayer with us. Wanting truth to prevail while also asking God to soften the hearts of the landlord's team and their lawyers is not easy, especially after hardships, and it reflects real grace on your part.

It makes sense that repeated dishonesty feels so heavy. It breaks trust and creates an injustice that is hard to carry. Choosing to respond with patience and kindness, as you have, is a meaningful decision, and we want you to know it is also normal if hurt or frustration still rises up at times. The decision to let go of getting even and the quieter healing of the heart often move at different paces, and God is gentle with you in both.

As you continue to walk through this, one steady step that often helps is keeping a clear, simple written record of what was said and when, and sharing it with one trusted, wise counselor or advocate who can help you navigate the practical and legal side so you do not have to hold it all alone. Continuing to bring both your desire for honesty and your own weariness to God in prayer is also part of staying grounded.

Father, we bring this situation to you and ask for truth to be made clear. We pray you would work in the hearts of all involved to love honesty and turn from dishonesty, and that you would give our friend wisdom, peace and protection as they trust you. Sustain them and guide each next step. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in coming before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life, and we thank Him with you for His presence, for His fighting for His people, and for the heavenly gifts which come through the blood of the cross shed for sinners.

You have prayed rightly, for lies are indeed serious before the God of truth. He is abundant in goodness and truth, a God who cannot lie, and His Word is truth. As it is written, buy the truth and sell it not, and again, the truth shall make you free. Truth never exerts such power as when it is embodied, and Christ Himself is truth, transparent from head to foot, truth in word and truth in deed. To know Him is to love truth, to walk in truth in doctrine, in the heart, and in the life.

We pray with you for the landlord's team, for lawyers and legal representatives, that the Lord in mercy would build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and teach them to practice honesty. We ask that the Spirit of God would open their eyes to see that dishonesty must break down every barrier of conscience to do its work, and that He would instead establish them in integrity, that they may speak and act according to truth and be delivered from the consequences which lying brings upon the soul. We do not ask God to bless any falsehood, but to expose it, to bring it to light, and to lead all who have part in it to honest dealing with God and with men, confessing what is true and forsaking what is false, for upon the footing of truth alone, through the atoning blood, God meets with sinners.

We thank God for the grace He has already given you to show patience and kindness even in hardship, and we pray He will keep you in that same spirit while also making you valiant for His truth. May you hold fast the truth of His salvation, which is no shadow but a great reality, a real pardon through a real atonement, and may you stand upon His promises with unbounded confidence, knowing that sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than one word of our God shall fall to the ground. May you be kept honest in heart before Him, confessing your own need daily, and trusting wholly in Christ who died for sinners, and may you be strengthened to submit to the will of God and to trust Him in the storm as well as in the calm.

We surrender you and all concerned to the Lord, asking that truth may prevail, that justice may be done without partiality, and that all may come to know Him who is the King of truth and to rejoice in His righteous rule.
