Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in this prayer and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord with such grace and faith. We agree with you that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as He said in John 14:6, and there is no other way to the Father except through Him. We are grateful for your thankful heart even in the midst of hardship, and for your desire not to seek revenge but to see those who have wronged you come to repentance and truth.

We affirm with you that dishonesty is indeed a serious sin before God. Scripture is very clear about this. Proverbs 12:22 tells us lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. And Ephesians 4:25 exhorts us therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. To lie repeatedly requires hardening the conscience and breaking down that God given resistance to sin, just as you have prayed. We also remember the warning in Revelation 21:8 that all liars will have their part outside of God's kingdom, which shows how urgently these souls need mercy and repentance, and the promise in John 8:32 that you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

We are encouraged that you have shown patience and kindness to this landlord's team, their lawyers and legal representatives even while facing hardship. That reflects the love of Christ in you, who calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. At the same time we encourage you to continue to stand firmly for truth and justice, for the Lord loves righteousness and He is a God of justice who sees all that is done in secret. We pray that you will keep walking in integrity, speaking truth in love, and trusting the Lord to be your defender and advocate.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace. We thank You for Your presence in our lives, for fighting for us, and for the heavenly gifts You pour out. We thank You above all for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. Lord, we lift up this situation involving dishonesty and the serious wrongs that have been committed. We ask that You would convict the hearts of the landlord's team, their lawyers and legal representatives. Build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty, open their eyes to see that lies only bring bondage and judgment, and lead them to practice honesty and to repent before You. Let Your truth be revealed in this legal matter and let no lie prevail. We ask that You would protect and strengthen those who have been wronged, guard their hearts from bitterness, and give them wisdom, peace and favor as they seek justice in a way that honors You. Help us all to walk in truth, for You desire truth in the inward parts. We dedicate our lives to You anew and surrender our will to Yours. We were so encouraged to read your prayer. Facing hardships with a landlord and legal representatives while still asking God to work in their hearts toward honesty takes real grace, and we thank God for the patience and kindness He has helped you show.

Wanting truth to prevail while also wanting good for those who have not been truthful can leave a lot of tension inside. It is one thing to decide you will not pursue revenge and will treat others with dignity, and another for the hurt and frustration to fully settle. Both matter, and both can take time. Your choice to pray for their resistance to dishonesty to grow is a loving and honest way to hold that tension before the Lord.

As you continue through this, it may help to keep a simple, factual record of communications and to lean on a trusted pastor or wise counselor who can walk with you through the legal details and pray with you regularly. You do not have to carry this alone.

Father, we lift this situation to You in Jesus' name. Guard our friends with Your peace, give them wisdom and steady hearts, and work in the hearts of the landlord, lawyers and all involved to love truth and turn from dishonesty. Set each person free by Your truth and lead this matter toward what is right and just. We surrender all of it to You. Amen.

Your prayer for truth and honesty is right and good in the sight of God, and we join our hearts with yours before His throne of grace.

You have done well to come in the name of Jesus, for He is Himself the way, the truth and the life, and there is no coming to the Father but by Him. You have rightly thanked Him for His presence, for His heavenly gifts, and above all for the sacrifice of the Cross where His precious blood was shed for sinners. In that blood there is more than sufficient reason for faith, and upon that atonement alone we rest.

You speak truly when you say that lies are serious. The Scripture declares plainly, if we say we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth. To claim fellowship with God while we walk in falsehood proves that the truth is not in us. Every refuge of lies must fall, for the hail shall sweep away the refuges of lies, and a cold hard truth from Heaven will crash through every false confidence. Only honest dealing with God will stand, when a man comes confessing that he has sinned, and pleads the truth on God's side, that Christ died for sinners.

We thank God with you that in the midst of hardship He has given you grace to show patience and kindness to the landlord's team, to lawyers and legal representatives. This is to overcome evil with good, and it is the way of Christ. Truth never exerts such power as when it is embodied, and Christ did not merely speak the truth, He was Truth, transparent from head to foot, Truth in public and Truth in private, Truth in word and Truth in deed. May that same Spirit work in you, that you may continue to buy the truth and sell it not, holding fast the truth of Holy Scripture and the truth experienced within.

We will pray with you that the Lord will build up in these men a resistance to dishonesty and teach them to practice honesty. We ask that He will open their eyes to know that the truth shall make them free, and that they may not suffer the bitter consequences of lying, but may be brought to honest dealing with God and with man. May they come to know that their only hope of happiness lies Godward, and that they must come back to the good old way without lingering.

We commend you as you dedicate your life anew and surrender your will to Him. Remember that it is always well to know the truth of God so certainly that you are able to remember it just when you most need it, and this truth will banish your fear of man and strengthen your faith to trust God in the storm.

May the Spirit of God help you to continue on the ground of truth, confessing your need and pleading the blood of Christ, and may the Lord keep you in His truth till He brings you to His glory.
