Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join you in this prayer before the Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for coming boldly before His throne in that precious name, for Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We rejoice that you have acknowledged His sacrifice on the Cross where His blood was shed for us sinners, and we thank God with you for His presence, His fighting for you, and His heavenly gifts.

We agree with you that lies are serious and grievous before God. Scripture is very clear about this. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22 and A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free Proverbs 19:5. You are right to call dishonesty what it is, for God desires truth in the inward parts Psalm 51:6 and He commands You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor Exodus 20:16. We rebuke the spirit of dishonesty and deceit at work in this situation, for the father of lies seeks to steal and destroy, but Jesus came to bring truth and life.

We are encouraged by your grace in the midst of hardship, that you have shown patience and kindness to the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while facing wrongdoing. This reflects the heart of Christ in you. We are reminded Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor Ephesians 4:25 and Don't lie to one another Colossians 3:9. We pray that the Lord will indeed build up in them a resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. We pray that He will convict their hearts and open their eyes to see that You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32. May they understand that lies may seem to gain advantage for a moment, but they bring consequences both in this life and before God, and that honesty, even when costly, brings freedom and peace.

We also pray for you, that God will continue to strengthen you, guard your hearts from bitterness, and uphold justice on your behalf. We encourage you to continue to trust not in your own ability to repay, but in the Lord's righteous judgment, for it is written Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Continue to overcome evil with good Romans 12:21, as you have been doing, while also walking in wisdom and truth and seeking lawful and godly recourse where needed.

We now pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this situation to You. You see all things and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. Lord, we ask You to work in the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives. Convict them of any falsehood and lead them to repentance. Build in them a hatred for lies and a deep love for truth. Help them to practice honesty in all their dealings and to walk in integrity before You and before men. Open their eyes to know that truth will set them free and save them from the consequences of lying.

Father, we also lift up Your children who have endured hardship in this matter. Strengthen them, provide for every need, and let Your peace guard their hearts. Help them to continue to show Your patience and kindness while standing firmly for truth and justice. Let Your will be done and let Your truth prevail in every document, every word spoken, and every decision made. We surrender this whole matter and our lives to You. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer. Dealing with dishonesty in something as personal as your home, and then having to work through lawyers and legal representatives, is exhausting and heavy to carry.

What touched us was the spirit in your words. Even after hardships you are asking not only for justice for yourselves but for good for them, that they would grow in honesty and be spared the harm that lying brings, and that you have tried to show the same patience and kindness you have received. Holding that posture while you are still in the middle of the struggle takes real grace.

It can be wearying to keep choosing truth when you feel others have not. We have found it helps to keep your own steps simple and steady, continuing to walk honestly yourselves, keeping clear notes of conversations and documents, leaning on wise counsel for the practical legal questions, and giving your own heart regular rest so bitterness does not take root. You do not have to hold this alone.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your wisdom, protection and peace over them and their home, and for clarity in every meeting and paper that is part of this process. Work in the hearts of the landlord's team and their representatives and draw them toward what is true and right. Strengthen our friend to keep surrendering their will to You and to trust You with what they cannot control. Amen.

Your prayer concerning truth and dishonesty has been heard, and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life.

We thank God with you for His presence, for His fighting for His people, and for the heavenly gifts which come through the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. It is right and good that you have asked the Lord to work in the hearts of those who have dealt falsely, for God is light, that is truth, for He can neither err nor break His word, and therefore He cannot smile on anything that is false. If there be upon our lip a false word, or in our heart a false thought, so far we are out of the sphere in which God can have fellowship with us.

You have prayed as Christians ought to pray, not with bitterness against persons, but against the sin itself. We wrestle not with flesh and blood. We are at war with error and with sin, but toward every man we endeavor to carry love and prayer. You have shown patience and kindness to the landlord's team, to lawyers and legal representatives even in hardship, and in this you have followed Christ. Continue in that spirit, for it is decision for Christ and His truth that has the greatest power.

We join you in asking the Lord to build up in those who have practiced deceit a holy resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. We pray that their eyes may be opened to see that truth will set us free, and that they may come to deal truthfully with God and with men. There is no fellowship with God while we walk in darkness and claim to have fellowship with Him, for then we lie and do not the truth. But when we confess as sinners, owning the truth, sad truth though it be, the Lord will meet with us through the atoning blood. God will deal with you truthfully, and He will never cast away a sinner that comes to Him according to truth.

Hold fast then to the truth at any price. Buy the truth and sell it not. Let it be not mere head knowledge or theory, but truth within, the truth experienced and burned into the soul by the Holy Spirit, truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, truth in the life, and Christ who is the truth to be your treasure forever.

We pray that the Lord will keep you in sincerity, for sincerity is indispensable to mercy, and that He will cause truth to prevail in this matter to His glory. May He strengthen your faith, banish your fear of man, and ensure your submission to His will, and may He who is Master and Lord over all hearts turn those who have erred into the way of honesty and uprightness.

We commend you and all concerned to Him who is the King of Truth, whose witness still speaks to every one that is of the truth, trusting that He will bring forth justice and establish His own in peace.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
