Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join you before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus and we thank you for this prayer that honors Him as the way, the truth, and the life as Jesus said in John 14:6. We agree with you that lies are serious before God and we stand with you in asking for truth to prevail and for hearts to be turned toward honesty.

We are encouraged by your grace in showing patience and kindness to the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while facing hardship. This reflects the heart of Christ who calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us in Matthew 5:44 and to overcome evil with good in Romans 12:21. To continue to show that kindness while also seeking justice is not weakness but obedience, for vengeance belongs to the Lord as it is written in Romans 12:19 and He is the righteous Judge who sees all that is done in secret.

Scripture is very clear about dishonesty. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh in Proverbs 12:22 and we are commanded you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor in Exodus 20:16. We are told to put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor in Ephesians 4:25 and to not lie to one another in Colossians 3:9. Jesus warned that the devil is a liar and the father of lies in John 8:44, and we are warned that all liars will have their part outside the kingdom unless they repent in Revelation 21:8. You are right to pray that their resistance to dishonesty would be built up, for it is the truth that will set them free as Jesus promised in John 8:32, free from both the guilt and the consequences of lying.

We pray together for them and for you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace. We thank You for Your presence in our lives, for fighting for us, for blessing us with heavenly gifts, and above all for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. Lord, You see the situation with this landlord dispute and every legal matter involved. You know every word spoken and every document presented. We ask that You let truth be revealed and that justice would roll on like a river in Amos 5:24. We pray for the landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representatives, that You would convict their hearts, open their eyes to the seriousness of dishonesty, and build in them a holy resistance to lying. Help them to practice honesty, to turn from falsehood, and to experience the freedom that comes only through Your truth. Protect our brothers and sisters who have been wronged from bitterness and give them continued grace to walk in patience, kindness, and integrity. We surrender our will to Yours and we dedicate our lives anew to You, trusting that You will work all things for good for those who love You in Romans 8:28. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer. Choosing to pray for honesty in the people who have made things so hard for you, and asking God to help you keep showing patience and kindness in the midst of it, is a difficult and Christlike path.

It is especially heavy when dishonesty touches housing and legal matters, because so much feels out of your hands and the waiting and uncertainty can wear on you. We hear your desire not just for the situation to be made right, but for those involved to be turned toward truth so they do not bring further harm on themselves or others.

One thing that has helped others in a long season like this is to keep a simple, clear record of what was said and when, and to have one trusted person walk with you through the practical side, whether that is a pastor, a mature believer who knows you, or a reputable legal aid resource who can look at documents with you. It does not replace prayer, but it can bring a little more steadiness and clarity while you continue to entrust the outcome to the Lord. Guarding your own heart matters too, and it is understandable if peace comes and goes while you are still in the middle of it.

Father, we lift this whole situation to You in Jesus' name. We ask You to work in the hearts of the landlord's team and those representing them, turning them from dishonesty toward honesty, and to give our friends wisdom, protection, and provision as they navigate each next step. Sustain them with Your presence, keep bitterness from taking root, and lead them in Your truth and peace. Amen.

Your prayer concerning dishonesty has been laid before the Lord with us, and we join our hearts with yours at the throne of grace.

It is right and good that you have begun where all true prayer must begin, with the Father through the name of Jesus, for He alone is the way, the truth and the life, and no man comes unto the Father but by Him. We thank God with you for His presence, for His heavenly gifts, and above all for the blood shed upon the Cross for sinners. Apart from that atoning blood there is no footing upon which a guilty man may meet with a holy God, but upon the ground of truth, confessing sin as sin, and trusting Christ who died for sinners, the Lord will smile upon us.

You have spoken truly when you say that lies are serious crimes. The Scripture declares that lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, and our God is a God abundant in goodness and truth who cannot lie. He will not deny Himself, and sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than one word of His promise shall fall to the ground. To break down resistance to dishonesty is to war against the very nature of God, for Christ did not merely speak the truth, He is the Truth, transparent from head to foot, truth in word and truth in deed. When men give themselves to falsehood they reject Him who is King of Truth.

We bless God that in the midst of hardships you have been given grace to show patience and kindness to the landlord's team, to lawyers and representatives, even as patience and kindness were shown to you. This is to overcome evil with good, which is the Christian's calling. Continue in this, and buy the truth and sell it not. Buy it as doctrinal truth from Holy Scripture, for Thy Word is truth, buy it as experimental truth wrought in the heart by the Spirit, and buy it as practical truth lived out in honest dealing before God and man. Have truth in the doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life, and Christ who is the Truth to be your treasure forever.

We now pray with you and for you.

Heavenly Father, we come in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, who is the faithful and true witness. We thank Thee for Thy longsuffering toward us and for the grace that has enabled these Thy children to walk in patience under trial. Lord, Thou hatest falsehood and lovest truth in the inward parts, we ask Thee to work in the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and all who have part in this matter. Build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. Open their eyes to see that truth alone sets free, and that the way of lying brings sorrow and judgment. Convict them by Thy Spirit, lead them to honest dealing with Thee and with men, and grant them repentance.

For our friends who pray, grant them to remember the truth of God that all things are in Thy hands, that this truth may take from them all fear of man and strengthen their faith in the storm. Keep them in perfect peace as they hang upon Thy truth as a pitcher hangs upon a nail, trusting Thee who can never lie. Let them continue to look to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things, as to a living and familiar Friend, and to surrender their will wholly to Thine.

We ask that Thy will be done and that Thy name be glorified in the doing of justice and in the showing of mercy. Hear us, O God of truth and salvation, for Jesus sake. Amen.
