Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes, and we ask you to forgive us when we lied or misinterpreted something.
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name, amen

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the weight of dishonesty and its destructive power in our lives and the lives of others. The scriptures are clear: "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who do the truth are his delight" (Proverbs 12:22 WEB). We acknowledge that dishonesty is not merely a mistake, it is a sin that separates us from God's perfect will and brings consequences that ripple through our relationships, our communities, and even our legal systems.

Father, we first ask for Your forgiveness for any times we have participated in dishonesty, whether through outright lies, half-truths, or even the silence that allows deception to flourish. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). We repent of these actions and ask that You cleanse our hearts and renew our minds so that we may walk in integrity, as Your Word commands.

We lift up the landlord’s team, the lawyers, and all legal representatives involved in this situation. The hardness of heart that leads to dishonesty is a spiritual battle, and we recognize that only Your truth can break the chains of deception. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9 WEB). Lord, we pray that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to the destructive path they are on. Let them see the weight of their actions and the eternal consequences of their choices. We ask that You would replace their resistance to dishonesty with a hunger for truth, righteousness, and justice.

We also recognize that patience and kindness are fruits of Your Spirit, and we thank You for enabling us to extend these virtues even in the face of adversity. However, we must not confuse kindness with compromise. Your Word warns us, "Do not be deceived: 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals'" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB). While we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, we must also stand firm in the truth and not enable sin through our silence or passivity. Lord, give us the wisdom to know how to respond in a way that honors You, balancing grace with truth, love with accountability.

We declare that the truth will prevail in this situation. Jesus said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32 WEB). We pray that the light of Your truth would expose every lie, every deception, and every hidden agenda. Let justice be served according to Your perfect will, and let Your name be glorified in the outcome. We trust in Your promise that "the Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6 WEB).

Father, we surrender our will to Yours. We dedicate our lives to walking in honesty, integrity, and obedience to Your Word. Strengthen us to resist the temptation to take matters into our own hands or respond in kind to those who have wronged us. Instead, fill us with Your Spirit so that we may respond with grace, wisdom, and a steadfast commitment to truth.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. There is no other name by which we can approach You, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). We place our trust in Him alone, knowing that He intercedes for us at Your right hand. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

Amen.

Thank you for opening this up to us. Your prayer is striking, you’re asking God to forgive your own moments of dishonesty, and at the same time you’re interceding for the very people whose lies have made your life harder. That takes real grace.

We know that even small untruths can settle into the soul and make us less at ease with ourselves. But every time we choose to speak honestly, even when it’s awkward or costly, something solid gets rebuilt inside us. It’s like a muscle. That “resistance to dishonesty” you prayed about grows one truthful word at a time.

So here’s something concrete we can do together this week: pick one everyday situation where it’s tempting to shade the truth or avoid an uncomfortable conversation, and lean into honesty there. Not to prove anything, but simply as an act of surrender to the God who is truth. And keep praying for that landlord’s team. Holding them before the Father, as you already are, keeps our own hearts soft and frees us from bitterness.

Lord, we’re grateful that you welcome us just as we are. Thank you that when we confess our lies, you forgive and cleanse us. We ask you to strengthen every sincere desire for truth in our own lives. For the landlords, lawyers, and representatives named in this prayer, we ask you to build up their resistance to dishonesty. Open their eyes to the freedom that truth brings, and protect them from the consequences of deceit. Hold each of us steady in your love. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The prayer you have offered reveals a heart that perceives the gravity of lies, yet I must speak plainly: to ask God to "build up their resistance to dishonesty" in others while your own mouth has known falsehood is to stand in a dangerous place. You say, "Lord, lies are serious crimes," and so they are, but have you examined your own repentance? There is a repentance that comes from the terror of consequences, a carnal repentance born of judgment, which does not glorify God. It is possible to grieve over the cost of sin without ever grieving over the sin itself. Such repentance leaves the heart unchanged, still clinging to its own merits and pointing at the faults of others. True repentance, the kind that is "unto life," gives God all the glory. It looks away from self, away from the landlord's team, and fixes its gaze solely upon the wounded Christ. Have you brought forth fruits worthy of such a turning?

Yet I would not leave you in despair, for the word of the Lord thunders with hope: "There is forgiveness." Oh, let that sweet whisper drive away every hobgoblin of doubt! There is no verb in the Hebrew, only the grand, open fact, forgiveness! It was there, it is there now, and it will be there. Do you feel the weight of your debt, that you have nothing with which to pay? Then hear this: the forgiveness is with Him. It is not earned by your surrender, nor secured by the correctness of your prayers for others. It is a divine deed, surprising in its completeness, for the chief of sinners. God Himself, even He, blots out your transgressions for His own sake. This is not a mere truce; it is an eternal discharge of your entire debt, nailed to the cross.

But mark this: the only souls that truly fear God are those that have tasted this forgiveness. This holy awe is not the cringing of a slave, but the loving reverence of a child who knows the cost of his pardon. Your prayer asks that others be spared the consequences of lying, yet have you considered that God’s goodness is meant to lead you to a deeper, ongoing repentance? This sweet sister Repentance walks hand-in-hand with faith every step of the pilgrim way. It is not a bitter thing, but a joyful cleansing, hating the sin because it is against so good a God. You speak of showing patience and kindness as you have received them, and this is well. But this flows from a heart that first knows its own vast forgiveness. For a Christian to forgive becomes as natural as breathing, for we are joint-sharers in the business of mercy.

Stand firm, then, on the truth you have professed: that truth alone sets free. But let that truth first do its liberating work in the deepest chambers of your own heart. The historic faith holds marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, a truth that stands against the current of the age. To contend for such a truth requires a vessel cleansed from all guile, from the polite self-deception that wraps our own sins in apologies while dissecting another's. Look to Christ only. Any repentance that leads you to look at your improved behavior or the sins of your legal opponents is a false guide that must be abandoned. Lay hold of Him. Believe that there is forgiveness now, just as you are, where you sit. And from that glorious pardon will bloom a practical, lasting turning from every false way, done not to earn mercy, but because you have obtained it. "Repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and show that we in earnest grieve, by doing so no more."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer begins with a good confession. You admit your own need for forgiveness in the matter of lies, and that is right. For God is not mocked; dishonesty is a serious crime, as you say, and those who gain anything by it choose a wretched path, both living and dead, when hell is added to the madness. But then your prayer takes a strange turn.

You ask the Lord to build up the resistance of these lawyers and representatives against dishonesty. You speak as if they had broken down all resistance, and now need it to be reconstructed, as one might repair a crumbling wall. This is not the way of the thing. Truth is not weak. When it does not master a soul, it is the soul’s own want of candor, its own infirmity. The sun easily enlightens clear eyes; if it does not, that is the fault of the eyes, not the sun. So you must stop praying for their resistance to be built up, as if truth were a feeble thing that needs our fortifications. Their resistance is their hardness of heart, and you are asking God to strengthen that very barrier.

Consider the nature of their work. These lawyers and agents seem to live by honest labor, like workmen and artisans. Yet even there, the dishonesty of buying and selling creeps in, bringing falsehoods, perjuries, and covetousness. Their trade becomes full of mean trafficking and shameless dealings. When they lie and commit serious crimes, as you say, they do not suffer from a lack of resistance; they suffer from an abundance of it, a resistance to the truth that would set them free. You should rather pray that this resistance be shattered, that their want of candor be melted away. Ask the Lord to open their eyes to the truth itself, for truth easily masters an honest soul. If they will not see, it is not because their resistance needs shoring up, but because they love darkness.

And do not think you yourself are immune. You speak of showing them patience and kindness, and that is commendable, but take heed. The same root of dishonesty can spring up in any heart. Many who start by extending grace end by excusing what they should expose. You have laid yourself bare, and that is good, but now let the truth do its full work in you. The honor of a clear conscience comes when what we speak in truth proves to be truth indeed. Let your own good confession be matched by thorough repentance, and then your prayer for your enemies will have power.
