We come before the throne of grace together, lifting up this workplace situation with hearts full of trust in the Lord’s sovereignty. Father, we thank You that You are the God of order, truth, and clarity, and we ask that You would indeed whisper to the heart of this department head, guiding her decisions with Your perfect wisdom. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). We pray that she would lean not on her own understanding but acknowledge You in all her ways, so that You may direct her paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also bring before You the confusion caused by this coworker. Lord, we know that where there is disorder, it does not come from You, for You are not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). We surrender this situation into Your hands, asking that You would protect this individual’s work, focus, and peace. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that the department head would recognize the right instructions, allowing this one to finish their tasks well and without unnecessary stress.
Father, we ask that You would bring harmony, honesty, and understanding into this workplace. Let Your love and truth prevail, and may every interaction be seasoned with grace and humility. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32). We pray that any hidden agendas, gossip, or ungodly influences would be exposed and removed, and that Your light would shine brightly in this environment.
Lord, we also want to gently remind this one who has prayed that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If this individual has not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they would do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, and we long for all to come to the knowledge of the truth.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, trusting that You hear us and will act according to Your perfect will. Amen.
