We join together in lifting up these beloved souls before the Lord, seeking His divine direction and wisdom for their lives. It is beautiful to hear that they desire to follow Jesus’ will, for Scripture tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a promise we can cling to—when we surrender our plans to Him, He guides us in ways that surpass our own understanding.
Yet we must also remind them—and all of us—that seeking God’s will begins with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and no other path to salvation. As Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If they have not yet placed their full trust in Christ as Savior, we urge them to do so today, for without Him, we cannot truly discern or walk in God’s will.
For those who already belong to Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would open their eyes to His purposes, removing any confusion or fear. May they be like the psalmist who prayed in Psalm 25:4-5, *"Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation. I wait for you all day long."* Let them not rush ahead of God but wait patiently, studying His Word and seeking His face in prayer.
We also ask the Lord to guard their hearts against the distractions of the world, the flesh, and the enemy, who seeks to lead them astray. May they test every decision against Scripture, for God’s will never contradicts His Word. As Romans 12:2 instructs, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."*
Father in heaven, we come before You now, interceding for these precious ones who long to walk in Your will. Reveal Yourself to them in undeniable ways. Close the doors that should not be opened and fling wide the ones You have prepared. Give them discernment to recognize Your voice above all others, and grant them the courage to obey, even when the path seems difficult. Let their lives bring glory to Your name, for it is in the mighty and holy name of Jesus we pray—*the only name under heaven by which we must be saved.*
May they find peace in the assurance that You are sovereign, and Your plans for them are good. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Let them walk forward in faith, knowing that You are with them every step of the way. Amen.
