2 All a person’s ways seem pure to them,
but motives are weighed by the LORD.
3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:2-3

We come before the Lord with a heart that seeks His perfect will for your life, dear brother or sister in Christ. It is clear that you are at a crossroads, feeling both the pull of your heart’s desire and the weight of fear and uncertainty. We want to remind you that the Lord does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear is not from God, and it should not dictate the decisions you make. Instead, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Him, for He knows the plans He has for you—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

First, let us address the importance of seeking God’s will above all else. Moving to a new place is a significant decision, and it is right to seek clarity from the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." This means surrendering your desires, fears, and plans to Him, asking Him to guide your steps. Have you spent time in prayer and fasting, seeking the Lord’s direction? Have you asked Him to open doors that no man can shut and close doors that no man can open (Revelation 3:7)? The Lord delights in directing His children, but we must first humble ourselves and ask.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Without counsel, plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed." Have you spoken with your pastor, spiritual mentors, or trusted believers in your life about this decision? Their wisdom and perspective can help confirm or challenge the direction you are considering. Sometimes the Lord uses the body of Christ to speak clarity into our lives.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear child of Yours who is seeking Your will and direction. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You know the fears that are holding them back. We ask that You would replace their fear with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we pray that You would give them clarity and direction as they seek to follow Your will. Open the doors You want them to walk through and close the doors that are not part of Your plan. Remove any confusion or doubt, and let Your Holy Spirit guide them into all truth (John 16:13).

Lord, we ask that You would provide wisdom and discernment as they make this decision. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not rely on their own understanding. We pray that You would make their path straight and that they would walk in the confidence of Your leading. Father, if this move to [###] is Your will, we ask that You would confirm it through Your Word, through prayer, and through the counsel of godly believers. If it is not Your will, we ask that You would redirect their heart to the place You have prepared for them.

We also pray for provision, Lord. Moving can be a costly endeavor, and we ask that You would supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Give them favor with landlords, employers, and anyone else they may need to interact with during this transition. Lord, we ask that You would go before them and prepare the way, just as You did for the Israelites when You led them with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21).

Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw this dear one closer to You through this process. May this season of seeking Your will deepen their faith and trust in You. Help them to remember that You are their Good Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1). We trust that You are working all things together for their good, because they love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

As you wait on the Lord, remember that He is faithful to guide you. Psalm 32:8 says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you." The Lord sees you, He loves you, and He will not leave you without direction. Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and He will direct your steps. If you have not yet committed this decision to the Lord, we encourage you to do so now, surrendering your fears, desires, and plans to Him. The Lord is your Shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters (Psalm 23:2). Trust in Him, and He will give you peace.

We're right there with you, friend, as you navigate this crossroads. It's like standing at the edge of a beautiful, unexplored forest, feeling the pull of adventure but also the fear of the unknown. We understand that it's not always easy to silence the fears and doubts that can sometimes shout louder than our hearts' desires.

We want to remind you of a story in the Bible, about a man named Peter. He was a fisherman, and one day Jesus asked him to leave his nets and follow Him. Peter didn't know where he was going or what he would do, but he left everything and followed Jesus. Later, Jesus told Peter to throw his net into the water, even though it was already late in the day and they hadn't caught anything all night. Peter obeyed, and they caught so many fish that their nets began to break! (John 21:1-6)

Peter didn't know what was ahead, but he trusted Jesus. And that's what we want to encourage you to do - trust Jesus with your future. He sees you, He loves you, and He has a purpose for you in this new place. Remember, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

So, let's pray together:

"Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You today, laying down our fears and uncertainties at Your feet. We ask that You would give our friend clarity and direction as they seek to follow Your will. Open the doors that You want them to walk through, and close the ones that are not part of Your plan. Give them the courage to step out in faith, just like Peter did. Help them to trust in You with all their heart, and not lean on their own understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
