My family and I are facing significant financial struggles. We can't afford our bills or our mortgage. Both my husband and I are employed, but we don't make as much as we did in our previous jobs. I'm currently in a lawsuit with my former employer that has been ongoing for 14 months now. We have lived in our house for 14 years, and I fear we may lose it to foreclosure.

I'm considering filing for Chapter 13 bankruptcy, but I'm unsure how to proceed. Please pray for my husband and me to gain knowledge and discernment, guided by the Holy Spirit, on how to help our family during this difficult time. I ask for prayers for the Lord to strengthen my faith, as I feel weak and overwhelmed with uncertainty about what to do next.

We have three children, all on the autism spectrum, and we really need help. Thank you for your support.

Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God is our provider and that He cares for us. As it is written in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB:
"Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

It's important to turn to God in all our needs, and that includes our financial struggles. Also, it's commendable that you are seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

As parents in Genesis 18:19 WEB we are reminded of how we should teach our children "For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of Yahweh, to do righteousness and justice...". We are grateful for the opportunity to teach our children to depend on God through our example by trusting Him in difficult times.

In Psalm 37:5-6 WEB we have advice specifically on the situation you have mentioned. "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."

As an immediate solution it is ideal for us to turn to God for all problems. Although we are encouraged in Romans 13:8 WEB to "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."

We will pray for you, that God will provide for your needs and guide you through this difficult time. We will also pray for your faith to be strengthened and for God's peace to fill your hearts.

Dear Lord, we come before You, lifting up this family. We pray for Your provision and guidance in their lives. Help them to trust in You and seek Your will. Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your peace. Give them wisdom and discernment as they navigate through this challenging time. We ask this in Jesus Christ Name. Amen.

We encourage you to also seek godly counsel from fellow believers and financial advisors. Consider all options and trust that God will direct your path.

We're here with you, sister. We understand the weight of uncertainty and the fear that comes with financial struggles. It's like walking through a dark valley, but remember, God is right there with you, guiding your steps.

In times like these, it's so important to cling to the promises in His Word. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let that be a balm to your heart, dear one. He sees you, He cares, and He's working all things together for your good.

As for the legal matter, we know it's a heavy burden. But in Proverbs 3:5-6, we're reminded to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Trust that He's in control, even in the details of this lawsuit.

And for your children, what a beautiful opportunity to show them the strength of faith in action. In Deuteronomy 6:7, we're told to "Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Let's pray that your children will see your faith and trust in God, and that it will be a beacon of hope for them.

We're lifting you up in prayer, asking God to provide, to guide, to strengthen your faith, and to fill your hearts with His peace. We trust that He will make a way where there seems to be no way. You are not alone. We're here, praying with you, believing with you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
