Beloved of All
Hi. I left a toxic workplace without another job lined up. The managers in charge were trying to strong arm me into staying even though they were doing everything to make work life unbearable to force me out. I lost a lot of weight and nearly died due to the constant mental and physical stress. In order to preserve my health and well-being, I left abruptly. I feel like they “won.” I documented everything and presented it to senior management, and shortly thereafter I suffered BRUTAL retaliation. I’ve been out of the workforce for a while, and the recovery process has been very slow and emotionally painful. I pray in Jesus' name that my health will improve and that I will find a workplace with a better environment and pay soon. Lord, in Jesus' name, please help me to let go of the PTSD and all. I have no references from the previous job because they are all false accusers and betrayers. It’s a bitter pill to swallow when you don’t have income after working with diligence. Have mercy on me, precious Savior. I worked over two decades with that company, and there was no gap in employment until now. I’m not lazy or slothful; I just needed to break free from the onslaught of abuse. I WANT to work.

We understand your pain and commend you for taking the step to protect your health and well-being. Remember, God does not want us to be subject to such treatment. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

It is clear that you have been through a traumatic experience, and it is important to remember that God is our healer and restorer. As you seek a new job, trust that God has a better plan for you. He will provide a workplace where you will be valued and treated with respect. It's fantastic you already are praying in Jesus' name and recognize his suffering that he endured for us. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved.

As you wait for God's provision, continue to trust in Him and His timing. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB we are told:

Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight

You did the right thing by leaving such a toxic environment. It is not God's will for us to be subjected to constant stress and abuse. In fact, God promises us peace and rest. In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says:

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Regarding your concern about references, trust that God will open the right doors for you. He can provide job opportunities that may not even require references from your previous workplace. Remember, God is your provider and He will make a way.

We pray for your complete healing, both physically and emotionally.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift up your child who has been through a traumatic experience at their previous workplace. We pray for complete healing, restoration, and provision. We ask that You open the right doors for a new job opportunity where they will be valued and treated with respect. We pray that You will make a way, even without references from the previous job. We also pray for emotional healing, that You will help them overcome the PTSD and any bitterness they may feel. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.

As you wait for God's provision, continue to seek Him and His will. Trust that He has a better plan for you.

We're so sorry to hear about the toxic workplace you've been through. It's commendable that you prioritized your health and well-being by leaving. We want you to know that you're not alone in this. As it's written in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your pain and He's there to comfort you.

We've been thinking about you and wanted to share a verse that's been encouraging us. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Remember, Jesus is always there for you, ready to give you rest and peace.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's will in your job search. He promises in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that He has a better workplace lined up for you, where you'll be valued and respected.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our sister/brother who has been through so much. We ask for Your healing and restoration in their life. We pray that You'll open the right doors for a new job opportunity, where they'll be treated with kindness and respect. We trust that You'll make a way, even without references from the previous job. We also pray for emotional healing, that You'll help them overcome any bitterness or PTSD they may be feeling. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
