Beloved of All
I'm asking for prayers for my life situation, especially for a difficult situation at work. I'm in my first "real" job. It's a dream come true but there have been a lot of problems in my project and I've been hurt a lot. I've also made mistakes and hurt other people. This fall, a colleague has gotten jealous and spread lies about me, resulting in me being reprimanded, judged, and excluded. We've had a close but also difficult friendship. Now she's accusing me of things I haven't done and my superiors have decided to believe her. I'm absolutely heartbroken about the situation. In my experience, I'm closer to being the bullied one and not the bully. I have a union rep by my side and he thinks I'm being treated unfairly by the colleague and by my superiors. I fear, however, that this may get even worse. My life situation is pretty hard otherwise too, I've just had my heart broken by the ending of a long relationship with my fiancé. I'm absolutely broken and exhausted. I'm asking that God would fight by my side in this work situation, that He would show my innocence and forgive me for everything I've done wrong. I ask that He would be with me and bring me a win and peace to the project. I. Jesus' name I pray.

A Hard Life

A Honeycomb
Looking to Jesus lifts your weariness and strengthens you to endure with patience and hope.
We hear the heaviness in your heart and we are standing with you before the throne of grace, asking our Father to draw near to you in this season of exhaustion and heartbreak. To be in your first real job which felt like a dream come true and then to face problems in the project, to be hurt and to know you have also hurt others, and then to be falsely accused by a close friend and judged and excluded by your superiors, is deeply painful. To carry this while also grieving the end of a long engagement has left you broken, and we want you to know that God sees you and He cares. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18, and He promises Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We take comfort that you have come in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we have access to the Father and by which we are saved. Jesus himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, so we rejoice that you are praying in His name and we join our faith with yours.

We want to gently encourage you in two areas. First, you have honestly confessed that you have made mistakes and hurt other people, and you are asking God to forgive you for everything you have done wrong. That humility honors God. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We encourage you to continue to bring each specific thing before the Lord in repentance, and where possible to seek reconciliation with those you have hurt, as far as it depends on you. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. And second, regarding the false accusations and lying, God is a God of truth and justice. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh Proverbs 12:22, and He will not leave untruth unaddressed. We also hear that you desire vindication and a win, and we pray with you that your innocence in the things you have not done would be made clear. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and your justice like the noonday Psalm 37:5-6. At the same time we are called to entrust ourselves to Him when we suffer unjustly, as Christ did, and to not seek vengeance ourselves. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19 and If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. This includes loving and praying for even this colleague who has acted out of jealousy, as Jesus said Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you Matthew 5:44.

For your work, we pray that you would be able to continue to do your duties with integrity and grace, even under this unfair treatment. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We thank God with you for the union representative He has provided who sees the unfairness, and we pray for wisdom for you and for him in how to navigate the next steps. We pray that your superiors would have eyes to see the truth and hearts to judge righteously.

We also grieve with you over the broken engagement. An engagement is a precious time of courtship with the goal of marriage between a man and a woman as God designed it for life, and when it ends the loss is profound. We pray the Lord will heal your heart deeply in this area and restore your strength. We encourage you as you heal to keep your future hope for marriage centered on Christ, seeking a godly spouse who is a fellow believer and pursuing courtship in purity that honors God, trusting that He is able to make all things work together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28. For now, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We pray together now for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up our dear one to You. You see the tears, the exhaustion, the heartbreak at work and in personal life. We ask You to forgive every sin that has been confessed and to cleanse and restore. We ask You to fight for Your child, for Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still Exodus 14:14. Reveal the truth in this work situation, silence the lies, soften the hearts of superiors, and bring justice and peace to the project. Give wisdom to the union representative and protection from further harm. Help our dear one to walk in humility, to bless those who have persecuted, to do good work as unto You, and to endure this trial with the strength You supply, knowing that it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God 1 Peter 2:19. Heal the broken heart from this lost engagement, bring deep rest, renew hope, and guard the heart and mind with Your perfect peace. Lead forward step by step, and let Your will be done in this job and in life. We ask for a true peace that remains even before the circumstances change, and for Your name to be glorified through it all. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We are so sorry you are carrying so much at once. Starting a first real job that felt like a dream, then facing conflict, mistakes on all sides, and now being misjudged and excluded by people whose approval matters, would leave anyone heartbroken and exhausted. To have that happen while grieving the end of an engagement makes the weight even heavier. It makes sense you feel bullied and worn down.

We appreciate your honesty in wanting both to be vindicated where you have been wronged and to be forgiven where you have fallen short. Those two desires can live together, and God sees both.

One steady step that may help right now is to keep leaning on the support you already have. Stay in close contact with your union rep, keep brief factual notes of what happens at work with dates and what was said, and let him help you decide what to share and when. At the same time, give yourself permission to rest and to let one or two trusted people outside work know how depleted you feel, so you are not carrying this alone. If the exhaustion deepens, please reach out to a pastor or counselor in person for ongoing support.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You know the truth of what has happened in this project and in this friendship, and You know the sorrow of this broken engagement. Fight for her where she cannot fight for herself, show what is true in Your time, forgive what needs forgiving, and bring a measure of peace to her workplace and rest to her heart. Hold her close in the days ahead. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your sorrow has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we have taken your burden upon our hearts in prayer. To be wounded in the place where you hoped to serve with joy, to be judged and excluded upon the word of lies, and at the same time to have the heart torn by the breaking of a long and tender bond, is to be doubly broken. You say you are absolutely broken and exhausted, and well we understand that weariness, for there are several forms of a broken heart and yours has been wounded both by the hand of others and by your own faults.

Hear what the Scripture says for such as you are, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, but this inward breaking is the greater ill, and Christ is the only physician for it. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The leaves, the little things as it were about Him, His lightest word, His gentlest touch, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before, and they can make your countenance, though now pale with sorrow, to be fresh again.

Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed on the Lord's people. When Jesus healed the man taken with the palsy He said first, Thy sins be forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. You have asked rightly that He would show your innocence where you are innocent, and forgive you for everything you have done wrong where you have indeed made mistakes and hurt others. Do not seek the false way of self justification, of which it may be truly said that it is self condemning instead of self justifying. Have we not all used false words at times, or harboured thoughts that were not true, and shall we plead our own righteousness before God. The true way is to lie low before the cross and receive forgiveness through the blood of Christ alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and there is healing in that glorious doctrine of His incarnation and atonement. He took our infirmities and bore our sins, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon you with healing in His wings, you shall not need to say, I am sick, for He will have pardoned and healed you.

Commit your cause at work into the hands of Him that judgeth righteously. It is a bitter thing to have a close friendship turned to jealousy and accusation, and to have superiors believe a lie. The Lord sees what is done in secret, and though false professors and false witnesses may for a time prevail, He will bring truth to light in His own season. We thank God you have a union representative who stands by you and judges that you are treated unfairly. Use all lawful and honest means, speak the truth with meekness and without reviling, and leave your vindication with God. It is not sent as a vindication of law, but as a tender parental discipline, and vast is the difference between the chastisement of love and the infliction of justice. Whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and He will make even this trial to work for your good. Pray for that colleague who has accused you, and for those set over you, that their eyes may be opened, and that peace may return to the whole project. The healing power of our Master is most manifest when Christ is taught, for faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Keep therefore close to the Word, and to prayer, and to the assembly of His people, and you shall find seasons of refreshing.

We now pray for you. O Lord our God, Thou that healest the wounded and forgivest the sinful, look upon this Thy servant bowed down with labour and grief. Thou knowest the lies spoken and the pain of being reprimanded and excluded, and Thou knowest also the faults confessed. Forgive, we beseech Thee, all that has been done amiss, through the precious blood of Jesus Christ Thy Son, and cleanse the conscience from guilt. Show forth innocence where there is innocence, and restrain the tongue of falsehood. Fight Thou by the side of one who has no strength, and be Thou her advocate when she cannot plead for herself. Bring, if it be Thy will, a just and peaceful issue to this project, and let not fear overwhelm her. Heal also the wound of the broken engagement, bind up that broken heart, and give rest to the exhausted spirit. Let the very leaves of the tree of life be laid upon these wounds, that pardon and healing may come together. Teach her to wait upon Thee and to serve Thee anew when Thou hast lifted her up. In Jesus name we ask it, Amen.

Your honest words show how heavy this season has been, and how exhausted and broken you feel. To carry a difficult work situation together with the grief of a broken engagement is a great burden, and God sees it all. He knows the hurt you have received, the mistakes you have made, and the pain of being judged and excluded when you long to do good work.

It is especially painful to be spoken against falsely. Scripture warns that jealousy and envy lead to false accusation, and that such accusations wound deeply. God is a God of truth, and His word teaches that an accusation should not be received without faithful witnesses and careful examination. When others believe what is not true, the injustice stings, but you can take comfort that the Lord knows the truth fully, even when people do not. He is the righteous Judge who will in time make what is hidden plain, and He does not forget those who are mistreated.

You have also been honest that you have made mistakes and hurt others. That honesty is right before God. Forgiveness for everything we have done wrong comes only through Jesus Christ, who died and rose again for sinners. If you confess your sins to Him, He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse. Where you can, with humility, seek to make right what you have done to others, and ask God to help you grow in wisdom and love in your work. He uses even our failures to teach us and to make us more gentle with others.

In this work situation, continue to walk with integrity. It is wise that you have a union representative who sees the unfairness and stands with you. Keep doing your work faithfully, speak the truth calmly, do not return evil for evil, and do not keep accusations hidden in your heart without seeking a proper and orderly way to address them. The Lord fights for His people not always by removing the trial at once, but by being present in it, giving peace, guarding the heart from anxiety and rivalry, and shaping character that will last. Even here, a life lived with honesty and self control brings a measure of peace that falsehood can never give.

I will pray for you as you asked, in Jesus name.

Heavenly Father, You see this dear one who is worn down and heartbroken. You know the truth about what has happened at work, every word spoken in secret and in the open. We ask that You would stand with them and fight for them. Where they are innocent, make that innocence known in Your time and Your way. Where they have sinned, grant them Your forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone and help them to walk in repentance. Grant wisdom to superiors and to all involved, that truth would be loved and lies would not prevail. Bring peace to this project and help this team to work together with fairness and respect. Comfort this heart after the loss of this engagement, heal what is broken, give rest to the exhausted, and guard against fear of what may come next. Lead them day by day, and give them a future grounded in Your grace and truth. In Jesus name, Amen.

Keep casting your cares on Christ, staying close to Him in prayer and in His word, and walking faithfully in the small things each day. God is with you, and He will not forsake those who trust Him.
