Different phone numbers needs stop to call me

Godispowerful

Humble Servant
Different phone numbers need to stop calling my phone because I don't know who that person is and leave me alone. I do not know how they got my number but it makes me feel uncomfortable.

We hear your distress, and we stand with you in seeking God’s protection and peace over this situation. Unwanted calls can feel like an invasion of your privacy and a disruption to your sense of safety. The Bible reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We take comfort in knowing that He sees your discomfort and cares deeply about your well-being.

First, we want to encourage you to take practical steps to address this issue. Blocking unknown numbers on your phone is a wise and responsible action. Scripture tells us to be "shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves" (Matthew 10:16), and part of that wisdom is protecting yourself from potential harm. If these calls persist or feel threatening in any way, do not hesitate to involve authorities, as Romans 13:4 reminds us that governing authorities are God’s servants to protect what is good.

We also rebuke in the name of Jesus any spirit of harassment, confusion, or fear that may be behind these calls. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that your peace will not be disturbed and that any attempt to unsettle you will be thwarted by the power of Christ. The Lord is your shield and your protector (Psalm 3:3), and we pray that you would feel His presence surrounding you like a fortress.

Father God, we come before You on behalf of our sister/brother who is feeling unsettled by these unknown calls. Lord, You know the number of hairs on their head (Luke 12:7), and You are intimately acquainted with every detail of their life. We ask that You would shield them from any harm or discomfort caused by these calls. Give them wisdom in how to handle this situation and the courage to take any necessary steps to protect themselves. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them rest in the knowledge that You are their defender. We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety in Jesus’ name, and we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Thank You, Lord, for being their refuge and strength. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you of the importance of guarding your heart and mind in all things (Proverbs 4:23). While this situation is frustrating, we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on the Lord, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). If you have not already, consider giving this burden to Him in prayer each time it weighs on you. Trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.

Lastly, if you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we want to share with you the hope that is found in Him alone. The Bible tells us that "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If you feel led, we invite you to surrender your life to Him, confessing your sins and believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and He offers peace that the world cannot give. If you would like to know more about this, we would be honored to guide you further.

We hear how unsettling this has been for you. Getting repeated calls from numbers you don't recognize, and not knowing how they got your information, can leave anyone feeling on edge in your own daily life. It makes sense you want it to stop and want to feel at ease again.

It is healthy to give yourself clear permission to protect your space and time. You don't owe an answer to an unknown caller, and letting those calls go to voicemail is a good way to guard your peace. It can help to use the tools already on your phone to silence unknown callers and to block numbers as they come in, and most carriers also offer free filtering or reporting options if the calls keep coming from new numbers. If it would help you feel steadier, consider letting a trusted friend or family member know what is happening so you are not carrying the worry alone, and keep a brief note of when calls come in case you decide to ask your carrier for extra help.

We are standing with you in prayer for calm and for clear next steps as you sort this out.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask for Your peace over their days and nights. Quiet the unease these calls have caused, give wisdom for simple ways to set good boundaries around their phone, and help them feel safe and cared for. Lead them to the right help and restore rest. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your trouble has been laid before the Lord, and we have carried it to the throne of grace on your behalf. To be disturbed by unknown callers, to feel that your privacy is intruded upon and your quiet broken, is indeed a burden to the spirit and well may make the heart uneasy.

Yet there is a word for such an hour which we would set before you. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This is not a peace that depends upon outward quiet, but a peace that the Lord Himself keeps within the soul. As we have often said, the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that peace may be enjoyed even when duties press and sorrows surge around. The Lord has endless, boundless peace within Himself, and He can renew your peace even when you are troubled and He remains unmoved.

We have prayed that the Lord will bless you with that peace which passes all understanding, that He will guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus, and keep you calm while these annoyances continue. We have asked Him to put a stop to these unwanted calls, to shield you from all harm and vexation, and to give you wisdom to act with quiet prudence. Where it is wise, let unknown numbers go unanswered, use the means provided to block what is unwelcome, and seek help from those who oversee these things if the trouble persists. Above all, stay your mind upon the Lord, for it is the mind which brings daylight or midnight, peace or war.

May the God of all peace, who is the fountain of peace and gives peace through the blood of His Son, keep you in perfect peace day and night, and cause you to know that you are safe in Jesus keeping. May He turn this small trial into an occasion for you to prove His nearness, and bring you soon into that heavenly peace where earths struggles shall cease.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request about these unwanted calls has been heard, and we are praying with you. It is understandable to feel uncomfortable and uneasy when unknown numbers intrude upon your privacy, and God sees that discomfort and cares for your peace.

We pray that the Lord will grant you a quiet and peaceable life, as Scripture teaches us to pray. We ask for grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, that He would guard your heart and your home, keep you from anxiety and fear, and cause these disturbances to cease. We pray that those who are calling in error or with wrong intent would no longer trouble you, and that your phone, which should be a tool for good and for connection with those you love, would be restored to peace.

We also pray that God would give you wisdom and protection in practical ways. Consider not answering calls from numbers you do not recognize, blocking numbers that repeatedly trouble you, speaking with your phone provider about call filtering tools, and being careful about where your number is shared. If the calls continue or become harassing, it is wise to keep a record and let your provider or the proper authorities know.

Above all, we pray that you would know the peace that comes from being a child of God through Jesus Christ, a peace that remains even when outward troubles arise. May the Lord keep you in His care, give you rest at night and calm by day, and let no disturbance steal the quiet He desires for you. We continue to lift you up, asking that He would surround you with His protection and grant you comfort and assurance.

In Christ we pray for your peace and safety.

It is completely understandable to feel uncomfortable and even anxious when your phone keeps ringing with calls from numbers you do not recognize. Your phone is personal, and when strangers intrude on it without explanation it can leave you feeling exposed and uneasy. God sees that discomfort and cares about your peace.

Others who have sought to be available to people have also learned how intrusive unwanted calls can be. There have been seasons when the calls came so persistently, even through the night, that the only way to get rest was to take the phone off the hook or to make a number private and screen carefully who could reach them. There were even cases where someone abused that access and ran up charges by using their number. The point is not the details, but the principle that it is wise and right to set boundaries around your private life in order to protect your peace and your home. You are not unkind for wanting that protection.

That sense of being trapped or pressured by something you cannot control is often what stirs anxiety. When we feel we cannot stop what is intruding on us, we can become cast down and restless inside. The psalmist knew that feeling and spoke to his own soul, asking why are you so downcast and disquieted within me, and then he gave his own answer, hope in God. When fear and uneasiness rise, it is often because God has been pushed out of our view of the problem and we are looking only at the nuisance itself. Bringing Him back into the equation changes everything. He is your refuge and your ever present help, and when you put your hope in Him, what feels overwhelming becomes something you can walk through with calm.

Practically, there are steps you can take that may help. You do not have to answer numbers you do not know. Letting them go to voicemail allows you to see if the call is legitimate without opening yourself to an uncomfortable conversation. Most phones and carriers now allow you to block numbers and to silence unknown callers, and that can greatly reduce these interruptions. If the calls persist or feel harassing, you can speak with your carrier about additional call filtering.

Spiritually, bring this concern directly to the Lord. He invites you to bring every anxiety to Him in prayer. Ask Him to guard your heart with His peace, to give you wisdom about how to handle each call, and to keep you safe from any ill intent. You can pray that He would stop what is not good and that He would quiet your heart when the phone rings.

We pray for you now. Father, we bring this need before You in the name of Jesus. You see how these unknown calls have caused discomfort and anxiety. We ask that You would surround this person with Your protection and Your peace that passes understanding. Quiet the fear and let hope in You rise up. Give wisdom for every practical step to take, and cause these unwanted calls to cease. Let this home be a place of rest and safety under Your care. We trust You to watch over every detail, and we thank You that You are our refuge. Amen.
