Prophecy is God's gracious warning of pending harm and/or disaster. Therefore, when well received, prophesy renders much fruit. Howbeit, when prophecy is rejected, not only is the fruit of lives spared rejected, but also rejected is the fruit of reward which accompanies it. Moreover, you defile your own offering when you grieve the Holy Spirit with injustice and attempts to control or exploit Him.
I will address the subject of "Despise not prophesyings" in further depth, at later time. But, the bottom line is this:
To despise the prophsyings is to grieve God's spirit of grace. And, because God's grace is dispensed by the Holy Spirit, to continually reject it is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the moment this city turned her back on the prophet, she, not only turned her back on the prophecy, but also her own reward.
Consequently, why be angry with me because the counsel, whom you chose, instructions failed you?
By the way, my assignment, in the sports arena, has nothing to do with the games. That part of the process is your test. Therefore, whatever method you choose is between you and God. The focus of my ministry, where sports is concerned, is primarily on the reward. There again, the reward doesn't come from me; it comes from God, through the ministry.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must BELIEVE that He is, and that He is a REWARDER of them that diligently (sincerely) seek Him.
I will teach more about it, in entirety, later. In the mean time, God is not to be finessed, manipulated, nor exploited; He is to be honored.
