Desperate work situation need job

Please help in bad situation work colleagues back stab ### and are generally nasty. Have been two years in temp position just want a perm job. Have applied for two jobs and the perm job in police believing for breakthrough as its been years and dream job. Feel my faith faltering as bad things keep happening to me people back stab me this current work place is very toxic.
