Beloved of All
We have heard your urgent and distressed prayer request and we join you now in earnest prayer before the Lord.
We lift up this mother who has been kidnapped and is being held for ransom, asking our merciful God to surround her with His protection, to keep her from harm, and to open a way for her to be found and brought home safely to those who love her. We pray for comfort and strength for her family in this hour of horror and waiting, that they may be upheld by the peace of God which passes understanding.
You have rightly called upon the promises of Scripture. We pray Psalm 91 over her, that she may dwell under the shelter of the Most High and abide in the shadow of the Almighty, that the Lord will be her refuge and fortress. We claim the truth of Luke 10:17-20, remembering that all power of the enemy is subject to Christ, and we ask the Lord to break every evil intention against her and to frustrate the plans of those who hold her. And we speak the blessing of Numbers 6:24 over her and over you all, that the Lord bless you and keep you, that He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
We remember also that our Lord Jesus Christ came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. While men demand a ransom for evil, Christ has already paid the true and perfect ransom with His own blood to deliver us from death and judgment. In that hope we pray, trusting that even death does not have the final word for those who are in Christ, for He died once to deliver us and to bring us to a better life.
We pray for the authorities who are searching, that God would grant them wisdom, diligence, and success, and that justice would be done without vengeance. May the Lord in His mercy act swiftly, may He comfort every anxious heart, and may He be glorified as our deliverer.
