Depression

My husband has very severe bouts with depression at least 1 week out of every month. He is struggling with his spirituality as well. I try to be supportive but when someone starts bad mouthing God I get very defensive. I know this is not helpful however having been married to him for almost 26 years he doesn't take my opinions of being thankful for all our many blessings very well. Please pray that I will either find the right words to say to help him or that he will come to an understanding that God really does love him. I know it would be helpful if he would get medication for his illness but he refuses.

Heavenly Father,

I lay this man at the foot of the cross for Your touch. Tenderly call him to Your loving arms for guidance, communion with Your Spirit, refreshment, and encouragement. Give JDQ the words to communicate Your love to her husband, so that he may be drawn to You. Father, please send a Spirit of peace into this household. Make it a happy place where Your presence is cherished. It is in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
