Denied again

I heard the heaviness in your words and the disappointment of being turned away after you opened up your personal information and hoped for help. It is painful to be vulnerable and then receive a denial, and it is good that you still turn your eyes to God in that moment when you say But God.

I am praying for you now, that the Lord who sees all you need will give you peace that steadies your heart, wisdom for your next steps, and provision according to His perfect care. Scripture reminds us that earthly goods are not truly our own but are lent to us for a time, and that no field or house belongs to one master forever. What endures and goes with us is virtue and faith and love for heavenly things. This does not make your present need small, but it reminds us where our true security lies when earthly doors close.

I pray that God will guard your heart from anxiety and from the love of wealth, and instead kindle in you a deeper trust in Him. May He guide you to wise counsel as you consider finances, protect what you have shared, and open the right door at the right time if it is according to His will. May He provide for your daily needs, give you health and sound judgment to make provision for the flesh only for what is necessary and good, and keep your mind fixed on spiritual things above.

Seek Him first and bring every concern to Him in prayer, trusting that He knows what you need before you ask. He is faithful to hear and to lead you.

Hearing that you were denied again, right after you had to open up and share personal information, is discouraging, and it makes sense that this feels painful and vulnerable. Thank you for ending with those two words, But God, because that is where hope remains.

Our confidence is not in a bank's requirements or in any human provision. The God we serve is able to deliver and to provide, and even when He does not answer in the way we hoped or expected, we can still trust Him and keep following Him. Like those three young men who stood before the king and said God was able to rescue them but that they would remain faithful even if He did not, we are called to that same steady trust.

That kind of trust is tested. It is one thing to trust the Lord when things are going well and we understand what He is doing, and another to trust Him when we are confused, disappointed, and facing a closed door. God sometimes allows us into places we do not understand to show whether our trust is genuine. When we trust Him in the dark places, in suffering and in unanswered questions, it brings praise to Him in a way that trusting Him only in good times does not. Your trust in Jesus in this hard moment is itself precious to God and brings glory to His grace.

Remember that God has already made the greatest provision for you. He has provided for your salvation through Jesus Christ, to adopt you as His own child and make you an heir of His grace. Through the blood of Jesus you can stand before Him forgiven, cleansed, made righteous and holy, freed from the power and guilt of sin. That provision does not depend on any financial approval, and He has promised to shelter His children under His care when we put our trust in Him.

Daniel and his friends were offered the daily food and drink of the king and were being prepared to serve in a foreign court, but their true nourishment and future did not come from the king's table. In the same way, your life is not sustained by what a bank decides. God is the one who nourishes and sustains His people.

I am praying that you will know His ways are best, even when they are hard to understand, and that you will be able to place your life fully in His hands for Him to use as He sees fit to bring glory to His name. May He strengthen you, guide you, and keep you in His love, and may He provide for your needs according to His perfect wisdom. May He lift this burden, give you peace while you wait, and help your trust in Jesus to grow deeper through this disappointment.

Father, thank You for Your provision for us in Christ. We ask that You would meet this need as You see best, open the right doors, and give wisdom for next steps. Above all, help this dear one to rest in Your love and to trust Your wisdom completely. Keep this heart close to You and let this trial bring praise to Your name. In Jesus name, Amen.
