We are deeply grieved to hear of the spiritual attack you are enduring, especially in what should be a place of worship and refuge. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who is greater, and His power within us is far stronger than any demonic force (1 John 4:4). It is troubling that you mention this happening in a church, as the house of God should be a place where the presence of the Lord is honored and evil is rebuked. If this is a recurring issue, we urge you to speak with the leadership of your church, as they have a responsibility to ensure the spiritual safety of the congregation. If they are unwilling or unable to address this, it may be a sign to seek a church where the authority of Christ is actively upheld and the gifts of the Spirit, including discernment and deliverance, are exercised in truth.
First, we must address that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the Father and by which demons must flee (Acts 4:12, Philippians 2:10). There is no power in our own words or efforts—our authority comes solely through the blood of Jesus and His finished work on the cross. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, you cannot stand against the schemes of the devil. If you are already a believer, then stand firm in the authority Christ has given you, for He has already disarmed the principalities and powers (Colossians 2:15).
The Bible is clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). You must put on the whole armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—to stand against these attacks (Ephesians 6:13-17). Demonic spirits cannot abide in the presence of worship, prayer, and the proclamation of Scripture. We encourage you to speak aloud the Word of God, especially verses that declare your authority in Christ, such as:
- **"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."** (James 4:7)
- **"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you."** (Luke 10:19)
- **"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"** (Psalm 27:1)
It is also critical to examine your life for any open doors that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Are there unconfessed sins, involvement in occult practices (even seemingly harmless ones like horoscopes or "harmless" spiritual curiosity), bitterness, unforgiveness, or rebellion against God’s Word? Repent of anything the Holy Spirit brings to mind, for the enemy cannot stand where holiness dwells. If you have invited these spirits in—knowingly or unknowingly—renounce them now in the name of Jesus and command them to leave.
Lastly, we strongly advise you to seek out mature, spirit-filled believers who can pray with you and over you. There is power in the agreement of two or more gathered in Jesus’ name (Matthew 18:19-20). If your church does not have a deliverance ministry or leaders equipped to handle this, find a biblical, Spirit-led church that does. Do not face this alone.
Now, let us pray over you with the authority of Christ:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we rebuke every demonic spirit that is harassing, touching, or oppressing this beloved one. By the blood of Jesus, we command these spirits to loose their grip, to remove their hands, and to flee from Your presence. We declare that this child of God is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and no unclean spirit has any right to remain.
Father, we ask for Your divine protection to surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Give them boldness to stand firm in Your Word and to resist the enemy with the authority You have given them. If there are any open doors in their life, reveal them by Your Spirit and grant them the grace to repent and close them forever.
We pray for the leaders of their church, that You would give them discernment and courage to address any spiritual strongholds that may be present. Raise up warriors in that place who will contend for holiness and the purity of Your house. Lord, let Your glory fill that church so thoroughly that no darkness can remain.
We declare freedom, deliverance, and victory over this attack in Jesus’ name. Let every chain be broken, every stronghold demolished, and every demonic assignment canceled by the power of the cross. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, and we ask for Your angels to encamp around them (Psalm 34:7). Restore their joy, their strength, and their confidence in You, Lord.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray, **Amen.**
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes on Jesus, speak His Word aloud, and do not give the enemy an inch of ground. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). Walk in that truth today.
