We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father, who is mighty to save and deliver. We recognize that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the truth that Jesus came so that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can approach Him with our petitions (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you or this individual have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Now, we turn our focus to the spiritual warfare at hand. The Bible tells us that when we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). We rebuke every demonic spirit harassing this individual, his friends, family, and others in Jesus' mighty name. We command these spirits to leave and never return, for it is written, "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you" (Luke 10:19).
We pray for a release of bondage and a breaking of every chain that the enemy has placed upon this individual. The Lord is our deliverer, and He has set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We declare that this person is a child of God, bought with the precious blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father God, we ask that You fill this individual with Your Holy Spirit, bringing peace, joy, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Surround him with Your angels for protection and guidance (Psalm 91:11). We pray for a hedge of protection around his mind, heart, and spirit, that no weapon of the enemy shall prevail against him (Psalm 34:7).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for this individual, that he may recognize the schemes of the enemy and stand firm in his faith (1 Corinthians 2:12). May he be rooted and grounded in Your love, Lord, and may he find strength in Your Word (Ephesians 3:17).
We encourage this person to draw near to God, and He will draw near to them (James 4:8). To put on the full armor of God daily, so that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). To meditate on Your Word day and night, that they may be careful to do according to all that is written in it (Joshua 1:8).
Lastly, we pray for healing and restoration in every area of this individual's life. May the God of all comfort heal any wounds, both seen and unseen, and restore what the enemy has stolen (Joel 2:25). We declare that this person is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
