We hear your cry and we stand with you in this long and wearying battle, for we know that being targeted for years by demonic harassment can leave you exhausted, fearful, and feeling isolated. We want you to know you are not alone and that our God sees your affliction and is mighty to deliver. Scripture makes clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places as written in Ephesians 6:12. Yet we also have the assurance that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world as promised in 1 John 4:4, and that Jesus has disarmed the principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in himself as declared in Colossians 2:15.
We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly address this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved and have authority over the enemy. Jesus himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. If you have not yet fully surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved in Romans 10:9. It is through submission to Christ that we receive authority to resist the devil and see him flee.
We rebuke every demonic harassment and oppression that has come against you, and we declare that it has no rightful place where Christ reigns. The Word tells us to be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you in James 4:7, and to be sober and self-controlled, for your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, and we are to withstand him steadfast in our faith in 1 Peter 5:8-9. We have been given authority by Christ who said behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you in Luke 10:19. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control in 2 Timothy 1:7.
We encourage you to close every door that may have given the enemy a foothold, for we are told not to give place to the devil in Ephesians 4:27. This means renouncing any involvement with the occult, divination, false spiritual practices, or unconfessed sin, forgiving those who have wronged you, and walking in repentance and obedience. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, with truth, righteousness, the preparation of the Good News of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer as described in Ephesians 6:10-18. Fill your home and your mind with Scripture spoken aloud, with worship and praise, and with constant prayer, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds in 2 Corinthians 10:4. Do not face this alone, seek fellowship with a Bible believing church and trusted pastors who can pray with you, counsel you, and support you in person, and consider fasting as the Lord leads you.
We now pray together for you.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one who has endured years of tormenting harassment. We thank You that You are our refuge and fortress, and that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty as promised in Psalm 91:1. We ask You to forgive every sin, to cleanse by the blood of Jesus, and to close every door that the enemy has used. We rebuke in Jesus name every evil spirit, every harassment, every whisper, oppression, nightmare, and fear, and we command it to leave and to go where Jesus sends it, never to return. We ask You to fill this life with Your Holy Spirit, with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding as spoken of in Philippians 4:7, with Your power, love, and self-control, and with a renewed mind grounded in Your Word. Let Your light drive out all darkness, let Your joy and rest be restored, and let this long season of harassment come to an end by Your mighty hand. We declare that no weapon that is formed against this child of God will prosper, and that in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us in Romans 8:37. Strengthen faith, surround with godly community, and teach how to stand firm and use the authority given in Christ daily. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Deliverer, Amen.
