Demonic defilement

We hear your distress and we stand with you together in the name of Jesus Christ seeking the Father's cleansing, protection and rest for you.
We understand the fear and defilement you felt as you tried to rest, and we want to gently correct one part of your request. We do not pray to return defilement or evil to a sender, for vengeance belongs to the Lord and He calls us to a different way. Romans 12:19 says Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord, and Matthew 5:44 says love your enemies and pray for those who mistreat you. We leave all justice and judgment to God, and we ask Him to cleanse you completely and to deal with any evil source according to His perfect righteousness and mercy, rather than asking that defilement be sent back.
The scriptures show us that our struggle is spiritual and that Christ has given us authority and cleansing. Ephesians 6:12 says our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Yet 1 John 4:4 reminds us that he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. James 4:7 tells us Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And 1 John 1:9 promises If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Through the blood of Jesus we are cleansed and made whole, and no defilement from the enemy can remain where Christ reigns.
We also pray for the rest you asked for, for God Himself is the giver of peaceful sleep. Psalm 4:8 says I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
We pray together now for you.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You wash and cleanse every part of body, mind and spirit by the blood of Jesus. Let every work and defilement of the enemy be broken and removed now, for we rebuke every demonic influence and command it to leave in the name of Jesus Christ and to go where You send it, never to return. Fill this place and this body with Your Holy Spirit, with Your light and Your peace. Forgive any sin and cleanse from all unrighteousness, and clothe this dear one with the full armor of God. We ask that You guard rest and sleep, that You station Your angels around this bed and grant deep, undisturbed, holy rest. We leave all judgment of those who intend evil to Your hands, and we ask for Your will to be done. Let fear be gone and let power, love and a sound mind remain. We thank You that Jesus is Lord over all darkness and that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and our access to You, amen.
We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ, to put on the whole armor of God each day through prayer and the Word, to speak scripture aloud before you sleep, to keep fellowship with other believers, and to turn away from any involvement with the occult or anything that would give the enemy a foothold. When fear or defiling thoughts come, resist them in Jesus name and fill your mind with His promises, for He watches over you and He alone gives rest.

I don't know, we can't always say it's demons. I read somewhere that somebody had a mental illness and the priests/people had tied her down and tried to cast a demon out of her. She died.

Your cry for cleansing and for rest has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you.
There is a fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness, and that fountain is the precious blood of Jesus Christ. The Scripture says, Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow, and again, I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed. This cleansing is not partial or incomplete. When applied by the Holy Spirit and received by faith it makes a total and complete cleansing from all guilt, and it is followed by a great change of life and a reformation of conduct. We are not cleansed by our own doings or efforts, but by the cleansing which God has promised in the covenant of grace. God Himself applies this means of cleansing, and all things are of God from first to last.
You speak of a fiery dart and of defilement troubling your body and your rest. Such darts are indeed shot at the saints, and they stir the soul until there seems no place of rest in heart or conscience. Yet God has provided a divine buckler against them. Our rest is not to be found in sending evil back upon another, for vengeance belongs to the Lord, but in coming to Christ Himself that He may cleanse us and keep us. We do not ask the Lord to return defilement to any sender, but we ask Him to wash it away, to overcome evil with good, and to deliver you wholly by His own power.
The Lord Jesus says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. It is a present rest, rest now, not rest after death or after a time of probation, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. And it is perfect rest. You have done with servile toils and hopeless burdens when you have entered into rest through believing, and all the rest and deliverance still comes to you as a gift from His dear hands, who purchased this blessing with a price. There is also a further rest which you shall find as you learn of Him. Let but your mind be like the mind of Christ, and you shall find rest unto your souls, a deep rest, a growing rest, an abiding rest.

Grant deliverance from every assault of the enemy, and ward off the fiery dart by faith in Thy faithfulness. Give rest, Lord, present and perfect rest, as we come to Jesus. Quiet the body and the mind for sleep, guard the hours of rest, and let this soul learn of Christ and find rest more and more. Keep by Thy power through the rest of this journey, for if Thou who hast brought so far dost not help throughout the rest of the way, we cannot stand.
