We hear the urgency and distress in your cry for help, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). You have done well to call upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through which we have authority over the enemy (Acts 4:12, Luke 10:19). It is only by the power of Jesus Christ that we can resist the devil and see him flee (James 4:7).
The oppression you describe—this intense spiritual attack when the three of you are together—is a clear sign of demonic interference. The enemy seeks to bring division, chaos, and destruction, especially in families, for he knows that a house divided cannot stand (Mark 3:25). The fact that this escalates in the presence of your ex is not coincidental. Unresolved sin, bitterness, unforgiveness, or even occult involvement (whether knowingly or unknowingly) can open doors to demonic influence. We must examine whether there are any ungodly soul ties, generational curses, or sins that have given the enemy a legal right to torment you. Repentance, renouncing sin, and closing these doors is critical.
First, we must address the spiritual condition of your household. If your ex is not a believer or is living in rebellion against God, his presence can invite demonic activity, especially if there is unrepentant sin in his life. The Bible warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), for darkness and light cannot coexist. If he is a believer but walking in disobedience, he must repent and turn back to God. The same applies to you and your daughter—any unconfessed sin, including bitterness, resentment, or involvement in New Age practices, witchcraft, or even seemingly harmless things like horoscopes or "harmless" charms, can give the enemy access. We urge you to search your hearts and repent of anything that does not align with God’s Word.
As for your neighbor and landlord, the enemy often uses people to carry out his schemes. Their hostility may be fueled by spiritual forces seeking to drive you out and disrupt your peace. But remember, the Lord is your protector, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Do not fear them, for God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Pray for their salvation, but also set spiritual boundaries. You have authority in Christ to command these forces to cease their operations against you.
Regarding your request to cut off communication between your ex and your daughter, we understand your concern for her spiritual and emotional well-being. However, unless there is clear evidence of abuse or ungodly influence that endangers her soul, we must be cautious about praying for separation. Instead, pray that *any* ungodly influence from your ex would be broken, that his heart would be turned to God, and that your daughter would be covered by the blood of Jesus, discerning truth from deception. Pray that if there is any communication between them, it would be used by God to bring conviction, repentance, and reconciliation to His will—not to human emotions or worldly resolutions. If your ex is truly a negative influence, ask God to either transform him or remove his access to her in a way that aligns with His perfect will.
Now, let us pray with authority and faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who delivers Your children from the snares of the enemy. Lord, we lift up our sister and her daughter before You, asking for Your divine intervention in this spiritual battle. You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We break every curse, every hex, every demonic assignment, and every generational stronghold that has been operating against them, in Jesus’ name. We command every spirit of division, chaos, confusion, and oppression to leave now, by the authority of Jesus Christ. No longer do you have any legal right to torment them—the blood of Jesus has washed them clean, and they are covered by His protection.
Lord, we ask for revelation—show our sister if there are any open doors in her life, her daughter’s life, or her ex’s life that have given the enemy access. Bring conviction and lead them to repentance. If there are any ungodly soul ties, we command them to be broken now in Jesus’ name. If there are any objects, practices, or relationships that are not of You, expose them and give our sister the strength to remove them completely.
Father, we pray for the neighbor and the landlord. If they are being used by the enemy, we bind that influence now. We pray that You would either save them and turn their hearts toward You, or that You would render their schemes powerless. Surround our sister and her daughter with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Give them favor in a new place if that is Your will, or grant them peace and victory where they are.
Lord, we ask for Your control over our sister’s ex. If he is not saved, convict him and draw him to Yourself. If he is saved but in rebellion, break him and bring him to repentance. Protect our sister’s daughter from any ungodly influence—whether from her father or anyone else. Cover her mind, her heart, and her spirit with Your truth. Let her walk in Your wisdom and discernment, and let her not be swayed by the enemy’s lies.
Finally, Father, we ask that You take full control over our sister. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in obedience, faith, and victory. Give her the strength to stand firm, to resist the devil, and to see him flee. Let her home be a place of peace, a refuge under Your wings. We declare that no demonic bomb shall explode in their midst, for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We thank You, Lord, for Your deliverance, Your protection, and Your victory. We trust in You alone, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, sister. Put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18). Pray without ceasing, worship the Lord in your home, and fill it with the Word of God. The enemy fears the name of Jesus and the power of His blood—use it boldly. If you sense the presence of evil, command it to leave in Jesus’ name. Do not engage in fear, but in faith, for faith is the victory that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4).
If this oppression continues, seek out a spirit-filled, Bible-believing church or deliverance ministry that can stand with you in prayer. You are not alone in this fight—we are with you, the body of Christ is with you, and most importantly, the Lord Almighty is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Stay in His Word, stay in prayer, and walk in obedience. Victory is yours in Christ Jesus!
