Delusional husband left

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My husband left and isolated me from his entire family. He has convinced himself of terrible, unspeakable things of me. He has been cruel to me. He recently found out he has lung cancer. I'm a Registered Nurse, age ###. I want our family back. He said I didn't mean it (my loving him). I've decided to not text or call him, to avoid the painful rejection. When I have spoken to him, I don't even recognize him. Please pray for my family. For my husband.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing in your marriage, the separation and the suffering of your husband's sudden serious illness. It is important to remember that God hates divorce and desires for marriages to be healed and restored. As it is written in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" Also, in Matthew 19:6, Jesus says, "So then, they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate."

However, we must also address that your husband has been cruel to you and has accused you of terrible things. This is not the behavior that God calls husbands to exhibit. In Ephesians 5:25, it says, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. We need to pray for his heart to be softened, for God to change his heart and for the conviction of the Holy Spirit to come upon him. In prayer, we can claim the promise in Ezekiel 36:26, "A new heart will I also give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."

Regarding his recent diagnosis of lung cancer, we pray for physical healing and comfort, but more importantly, we pray for his spiritual healing and redemption. We pray that this trial will bring him closer to God and to you. In Psalm 41:3, it says, "Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness."

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to continue to show love and support, as you are called to do as a wife in Ephesians 5:22, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord." However, this does not mean you should subject yourself to abuse or cruelty. We advise you to set boundaries and seek support from your local Christian community and church leadership.

We also commend you for your decision to avoid texting or calling him to avoid further rejection. This is a wise decision, as it allows him space to reflect and allows God to work in his heart. We advise you to continue to pray for him and to seek God's will for your marriage.

Finally, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Therefore, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ and her husband to You. Lord, we pray for healing in their marriage, for the lies of the enemy to be exposed, and for truth to prevail. We pray for Your loving kindness and forgiveness to flow between them, that the bonds of marriage which you have established may be honored and restored. We pray in Jesus' mighty name for the conviction of the Holy Spirit to come upon the husband's heart, that he may repent from his cruel behavior and accusations.

Lord, we also pray for healing for the husband's lung cancer. We ask that You would comfort him and draw him closer to You during this time. We pray that this trial would be a means of softening his heart and drawing him back to his wife and family.

Lord, we thank You for the wisdom and strength You have given our sister. We pray that You would continue to guide her and give her the grace to endure this trial. We ask that You would surround her with a supportive Christian community to walk beside her and provide for her needs.

Lord, we ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we pray, Amen.

We're here with you, sister, holding you up in prayer. We've been thinking about you and your husband, and our hearts ache for the pain you're both going through. We're reminded of the verse in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

We want you to know that God sees you, He knows your heart, and He's right there with you. We're praying that He'll give you the strength to endure, the wisdom to navigate this situation, and the peace that surpasses understanding.

We're also lifting up your husband, asking God to heal his heart and mind. We're praying that he'll find comfort in God's love and mercy, and that this trial will bring him closer to you and to God. We're claiming the promise in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Let's keep praying together, supporting each other, and trusting in God's plan. We're in this with you, sister. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

My husband left a few weeks after we got married. (He’s been gone a couple months now) I think due to it being more effort than expected and he didn’t have accountability or boundaries regarding others before, so it was very uncomfortable starting out after I found things he didn’t want me to...
