Delivered prayer for the former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in agreement over this prayer for your former landlord and we thank you for bringing him before the Lord with such compassion and discernment. We praise God with you for the cross and for the gift of His holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe, for there is no other way to the Father and no other name by which we can be saved.

We are encouraged by your faith that God hears us when we agree together in the name of Jesus, for Jesus said, Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them. Matthew 18:19-20

We agree that the Lord knows the plans He has for this man and that His thoughts are far greater than ours, as it is written, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 and For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9

We lift this man to the Father and ask that the eyes of his heart would be opened to his true identity in Christ. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Any false identity built on sinful relationships or activities, whether fornication, adultery, homosexuality, or any other sexual immorality outside of God's design for marriage between a man and a woman, is not who God created him to be and must be repented of and forsaken. We are called to flee sexual immorality, for it is written, Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18

We pray that God will soften his heart as you have asked, for He promises, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26 We ask the Lord to give him courage to choose the narrow path that leads to life, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! Few are those who find it. Matthew 7:13-14

We also join you in praying for his deliverance from ungodly influences, including those in his own household, and from any controlling, manipulative or hateful relationship where he is being blackmailed or where his life may be in danger. We ask the Lord to separate him from those who would lead him away from holiness, for Bad company corrupts good morals. 1 Corinthians 15:33 and to place a hedge of protection around him, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2 We pray he will come to fear the Lord, for The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10 and that this holy fear will give him understanding to depart from evil and from the evil woman in his life who entices him away from the Lord, for her path leads away from God and toward destruction.

Father, we come together now in the name of Jesus and we ask for Your mercy upon this man. Open his eyes to see the depth of Your love and the deceitfulness of the sin that has entangled him. Break the chains of control and blackmail, expose every lie, and bring him into the light of Your truth. Give him a heart to repent, to turn from every form of sexual immorality and ungodly influence, and to walk in purity and obedience before You. Lead him to a godly marriage if it is Your will for him, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman that honors You, and help him to pursue holiness in all his relationships. Guard his life from harm, surround him with godly counsel, and draw him to Yourself so that he may know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. John 14:6 We thank You that You are able to deliver and to restore, and we trust You to continue this work in him. In the powerful and saving name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with love and truth, speaking the gospel to him as God gives opportunity, and trusting that God is faithful to hear and to answer according to His perfect will.

Thank you for bringing your former landlord before the Lord with such care. We hear how much you want him to know he is loved and to find clarity and freedom, especially when you sense he is under harmful influences and pressure.

It is a good and loving thing to intercede for someone to know who they are in Christ, to have a softened heart and wisdom to step away from what harms him. That kind of identity is not shaken easily by other voices or circumstances, and it grows as he learns to listen for God's leading above all else.

One gentle next step as you keep praying is to release the outcome to the Lord while keeping appropriate boundaries for yourself. You can continue to lift him up for safety, for clear thinking, and for courage to seek wise, godly counsel around him, without taking on the weight of trying to rescue or confront him directly, especially if you sense manipulation or danger in his situation.

We are joining you in prayer.

Father, thank You for loving this man and for hearing our prayers. We ask You to draw him close, give him eyes to see Your love and Your path for him, and surround him with protection and wise help. Give him courage to turn from what entangles him and to walk toward what brings life and peace. And give our friend peace as he trusts You with this burden. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your burden for this man and we join with you in bringing him before the throne of grace, giving thanks for the cross where the holy Son of God suffered as the Substitute for sinners and the Sacrifice for the ungodly.

Your prayer is wise in asking not merely that outward troubles be removed, but that his heart be changed, for judgments, even the most terrible of them, do not in themselves produce a satisfactory repentance in the minds of men. A man may be alarmed and yet not be renewed. What is needed is that the Grace of God should come and make him to be born again, so that his stony heart is broken and he is made a new creature in Christ Jesus. We pray with you that the Lord who commanded the light to shine out of darkness would shine in his heart to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, for there alone is salvation. There is one God gloriously manifested in Christ Jesus, and no man has seen God at any time except the Only Begotten Son has declared Him. We ask that this man may not merely know about God, but may know God in Christ, seeing the way by which God can be just and yet the justifier of the ungodly through the ransom which Divine Love has found and provided.

We entreat the Lord to deliver him from the power of darkness as well as from the guilt of sin, for both are the work of God through Jesus Christ. We ask that he may be humbled by a true sight of himself and made to rejoice that he is saved by grace alone, not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Where the Gospel comes with power it withdraws a man from his own purpose and hides pride from him, and we pray that this man may hear the voice of the Lord and no longer hide himself among the trees of his own desires. Sin makes miserable cowards of us all, and it creates a prejudice against the Gospel, but Christ was manifested to destroy the works of the devil and to remove slavish fear.

We pray that the Lord would give him that filial fear of God which is commended in Scripture, not the fear of the slave who dreads a taskmaster, but the fear of a child toward his Father. That holy fear, when it reigns in the heart, gives strong confidence and makes a man bold to speak and to do what is right, so that he will not be a puppet of impressions nor a slave to the judgments of others, but will fear God and therefore have nothing else to fear. May that fear teach him to depart from evil and to walk in the narrow path, with courage to forsake every false identity and every sinful relationship or activity which is contrary to the narrow way.

We agree with you in asking that the Lord would separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and open his eyes to see the true nature of every relationship that stands outside the holy ordinance of God. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy and dwelling together belong within it. Whatever is outside that covenant, whether it be fornication, adultery, or any other form of impurity, is sin against the Lord and brings bondage and sorrow. The bonds of Christ teach us what sin would do to God if it could, for it would bind the hands of the Most High. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, but we ask Him to show this man the depth of His love in Christ and the danger of remaining under the power of darkness, that he may be brought to repentance and to holiness of life.

May the Lord keep him from harm and, far more, keep his soul from perishing. May He grant him understanding to know Christ and to find his true identity in Him alone, to be justified through His blood and sanctified by His Spirit. We pray that he who now sleeps in darkness may awake in the Light of God, rejoicing in Jesus Christ, and that his life may henceforth be hidden with Christ and his conversation in heaven.

We will continue to remember him with you, asking the Father to work according to His great thoughts and plans, which are far greater than ours, and to do all for His own glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
