Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your request and we are joining you in prayer for deliverance and for the Lord to be near to you in this time of need.
We are praying for your hearing, that God would grant a just and victorious outcome according to His will and mercy. We ask Him to give you clarity, calm, and wisdom as you speak, and to give favor and fairness to those who will hear your case. Whatever the outcome, we pray that you would know that God is present and that His purposes are for your good, and that He will guide your steps beyond this hearing.
We are also praying for your family and for peace in your home. Scripture teaches us that peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and that Jesus Himself came to bring reconciliation between heaven and earth and to leave His own peace with us. In the Church we hear again and again the words Peace be unto all, because where peace is absent everything is unsettled, and where it is present love can grow. Those who make peace are called the sons of God, and we pray that such peace would rest upon your household.
We understand how painful it is when a parent is often arguing, controlling and insulting without cause. The Lord knows this burden. He also warned that at times even those nearest to us in our own household can be divided and bring strife, yet He calls us to follow peace with all men and to pursue holiness without which no one will see the Lord. As far as it depends on you, seek peace.
We encourage you to continue to honor your mother as Scripture commands, while not returning insult for insult. Answer gently when you can, set healthy and respectful boundaries, and do not be drawn into needless contention. Pray for her daily, that God would soften her heart and give her rest from anger. Pray also for your own heart, that you would be kept from bitterness and guarded in patience. If possible, seek wise counsel from a trusted pastor or mature believer in your local church who can know your situation more personally and walk with you and your family toward healing.
Let us not be careless hearers but bear fruit from what we have heard, remembering that each believer is watched over and that God hears our prayers for an angel of peace in our homes and in our hearts.
We pray now for you: Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. Grant deliverance and a good outcome in this hearing according to Your perfect will. Let truth and justice prevail and let Your peace guard this heart. Pour out Your peace upon this home. Calm strife, heal words that have wounded, and teach each member of this family to love and respect one another. Give strength to endure, wisdom to respond with grace, and hope that does not fail. May Your will be done and may You be glorified in this family. Amen.
Stay faithful in prayer and in the Word, and trust that the Lord who is our peace will not leave you without help.
